mervin(lib tech) skis?

Does anyone that was at sia have any info on these. I heard they had a pair, someone said that they had the seraded(sp) edges. any info would be cool.

 
lib tech makes a snowboard with a seradded edge but i haven't heard about lib tech making skis an i am pretty close with the rep., so let me get some of what your smokin...

 
there were rumors along time ago about them producting a ski...then some kid who was at sia droped sum ting on here about see skis at the booth.

the edges on the magne-traction board are wavey and apparently give an insane amount of edge hold when riding ice. it's the evolution of the sport. since the 80's snowboard design has been based on ski design and is now taking a step forward

yeah, my best friends dads the rep...he rode the board with the seraded edges and said it was amazing...But, he hasnt heard from his dad since sia, so he hasnt been able to ask about it for me...I picked this off the tgr forum..:

Mervin MFG AKA Libtech / Gnu showed off there skis. The ervin skis feature a scalloped edge like you would find on a serrated nife blade and is simular to the concept that they are using on one of there boards this season. However the skis where the only pair they had ready for the show and where too soft so they had them bolted to the wall so you could not flex them.

 
I saw them at the show as well. They looked pretty cool but I couldn't get anyone at the booth to really share any info.

 
So how would you sharpen your edges? And would it cut your limbs off if you crashed.

 
They aren't serrated in the steak knife sense. So they wouldn't cut you up or anything. It's more like a subtle wave in the edge instead of being straight. Sharpening would still be difficult I imagine.

 
the wavy edge serrations work like a steak knife. basically they make ice feel just like powder. These things are going to be the next big thing. Who do you guys think will end up on the lib tech ski team?

 
THEY ARENT MAKING SKIS IT MAS MOR LIKE AN ART DISPLAY ON THE SIDE OF THEIR BOOTH. THEY WERE JUST STATING THEY CAN MAKE WHATEVER THEY WANT THATS ALL.
