I'm still a beginner, I can do like a flat box to fakie and 180's and stuff, but I'm having trouble getting in the right state of mind to do a 3. any suggestions? things to think about?

keep it simple, and I would start off by trying it on a pretty small jump. if you can do them just standing on the ground without skiis, just practice that like every night, and it will feel natural.

dont psyche yourself out before trying the 3. it may seem scary at first but if you jsut try it once you will realize this is easy. and then you will eventually stomp it. and going to the jump to do the 3 dont think about anything other then doing a 360. go to the lip, pop, spin, stomp, ride away, go get some dome you just landed your first 360.

PROBLEM i had was that i never kept looking and i would get to like A 270 and my body would stop, because i wasnt used to the rotating the weight of skis/boots/bindings, when doing a rotation, so my body naturally just wanted to stop spinning/ move the opposite way, but if you keep lookking, your body will keep spiniinng. I stil cant do em well but i least i got that

Good music really helps, and if u visualize what you are going to do it will give confidence (study by harvard, coach told me about it, its real and it will help by releasing some thing in body)

my suggestion is dont even try it over a jump first, find a nice little roller and learn to spin off of that, youll be suprised how easily you can whip a 3 around, just keep looking over your shoulder, thats how i warm up ever day, butter 3 off a knuckle then progress from there, but i guess thats kinda superstition for me, im not really sure if it makes a difference,

when i first started i wasnt going fast enuf so i would whip around and never spot the landing, i would always end up like 450 or 270 and sketch out. then at the end of the season i started bombing it and hitting them cause i could slow it down. But yea if you try it off a roller first its probably a good idea and when you do hit them on the jump make sure ure going fast enuf, take a few practice runs first, and do not second guess.
