Members vs. Guests Online

at any given time there are usually alot more guests online than members, sometimes its 20 more, and sometimes its 300 more. either way, i feel that something should be done to try and limit the amount of guests. i mean i know its good that people can come and look around before they join, but joining is totally free and doesn't have any catch, so why not just join? i know alot of folks come on here as a guest to get info or look at videos, but why not become a member and then you cand do all that and more?
 
maybe they don't want to do more. i was a guest on NS for a couple years before i became a member. After about a year of being a guest, I discovered the forums. And after reading the forums for a year, enough stupid posts were made that I was forced to make an account and enlighten everyone. But some people don't feel that need.
 
i was only a guest for about 3 weeks and assumed you had to pay to be a member then i relized it was free so i joined
