I think it would be good if the inactive members of NS were deleted. This is just an idea but a good way would to do it is messaging all members with a post count under 1000 (or some other number) that have joined prior to (some date) and asking them to reply. If they reply, then they stay, if they don't within a month (or some other length of time) the account is removed. For example the owner of NS_NOOB1234, who has a post count of 3 and joined 2 years ago would get a message, and if he he doesn't reply, the account is removed. What do you think? This will give us all a better scope on the number of actual members in NS.

If they sent a message and waited like a month or two then deleted everyone who didn't respond, it might work. But we would lose like 70,000 members....

i would be really mad if my account got deleted. i know of someone who has like 12 posts and has here for quite some time. he just never gets on anymore. when he does he never posts. just reads whats new

think extreme on that and there is a possibility that you could see a new harvey. sure thats extreme but i would be pissed if i had a series of unfortuneate events that caused me to stay away from newschoolers and my name was gone. THink of bashing to. if some girl made anita skis people would start bashing her nomatter what. some names just are too nice and important to be given to someone else.

the idea of freeing up is a great idea but i'd be just as happy if i knew how many active members there were.

Your always going to have these problems. Nobody really knows how many members a cult has without counting, but it doesn't affect anything. Its the same with inactive accounts. I'd much rather see the people in charge putting forth that same effort to get something else done. Never has anybody logged on and gone "Fuck, I cant post here, there are too many inactive members!"
