i dont really think its about popularity. i think its more about posting stuff that sparks peoples interest or helps them out in some way. thats how people remember you.

I hear what you're saying, and seeing as I'm still something of a rookie it kinda pisses me off. Like i take the time to write a big long string on something, and no one really addresses what I took the time to say. It gets kinda aggravating at times. I don't want to sound like a whiny bitch but it would be cool to have people address the things i take thetime to say, instead of just passing over and not reading a thing I said.

I usually read what everyone writes, but it depends on my mood and patience level. Sometimes I'll do what you said Chris and just read some from people like Phrosty, you, Freezy, yeti, Stacey, etc.

EC-Andrew... Sometimes if you write a whole long string of stuff or a big long paragraph or whatever, people intentionally ignore it because it's too much to read all at once. Sometimes I'll read the first line or two of a big huge post, and unless something sparks my interest or humors me, I'll just skip over the rest of it. Maybe try to make a stronger point with fewer words?

I know the post I just wrote was long (which is kind of hypocritical), but I was only trying to get EC-Andrew to read it, so voila.

I do the same thing, just pass over a lot of icons... mine's bright orange so I can recognize mine and remember what I posted... plus orange is a badass color. linejibber550 has a badass Conan icon, and now Timber has Ninja Turtles...

But if someone posts a lot of stuff that I agree with or respect, then I'll remember that icon I guess.

i usually don't post very much, but i do read alot of the threads. basically i am too lazy to respond to all the posts even when tons of people say the most retarded shit because they have no clue what they are talking about. if i went through everything and corrected everyone it would be a huge waste of time, so i let people think and say what they want and drop some of my own thoughts here and there, usually coupled with some of my humor, which some people appreciate and others might not. ah well, it's just the internet, so who really gives a fuck right?
