Complete bullshit. Megavideo was awesome, why does U.S always think they can get involved in things that happen outside there country.
 
not really. it was totally illegal what megavideo did. it was awesome and i am a big fan, but im not supprised that they got arrested.
 
MegaUpload did nothing illegal, it was the users who uploaded "illegal" or copyrighted material there who are to blame.

MegaUpload was used by millions as a payed service for backups, raw video data etc. and now it's all suddenly apprehended by the WORLD POLICE.
 
Just talked about this in Business Law...Since they had not put any effort (implementing copyright filters, etc.) into reducing the amount of uploaded and downloaded copyright infringed material, they could be charged with contributory copyright infringement.
 
hahah very good point. I don't understand the sudden uprise of all this copyright stuff. Like is this SOPA bill for real? Is Hollywood pissed off or something? These guys were pretty dumb to host megauplaod from a domain server in the US, just saying
