i was there.....i know that all the cva kids and pat wait were the ones to advance to finals.....i dont think anyone else made it....the jump was like a 12 ft booter to a 60ft gap....the biggest pop ever it was sick.....everyone was doing like cork nines and shit....and a few switch cork tens too.....the place was goin off

damn my friend was doing switch cork 9 and 10 mute, what did the cva guys throw to advance to the finals ?? looks biased to me that they all made it or maybe they deserved it

not all the CVA kids made it to the finals.

everything from cork 7, to switch cork 5,7,9, and switch 10 were thrown. switch flatspins and switch rodeos from 5 to 9. corks from 7 to 10. straight spins to 1080. misty 7's. rodeo 5's. you had to BOMB into this jump...and it was so perfect.

the didali bros didn't advance, nor did erik, will, or many other people that blatanly could have. but then again, it went down, and EVERYONE threw down sick tricks.

damn i was hopin erik and the dadalis would advance, those guys are sick. i went to a rail jam with will and erik back in nov. and we had like the sketchiest setup and shit for snow and he pulled out some nice slides that normally for anyone else wouldve just made it shit

Devon Fenske from CVA won with a huge cork 9 blunt, and Pat Waite got second with a clean switch cork 7 safety. Both were pretty legit jumps. Third went to Matt Iovanni and fourth got an honorable mention. The jump was the biggest jump I've seen all season and the comp was run pretty legit. The judges seemed to be looking for smooth tricks, thats probably why the kids doin switch 10's didnt make it. The kids that made it to the finals definately deserved it, the only thing that sucked about the event was when the lights that were on the landing went out and kids still hit it. Pat did a really sic switch 9 onto the darkest landing ever. Good comp all around, hopefully we'll get to see the vid up on NS soon. Late

 
And no offense to the guys who won it, but since when is a switch 10 not even good enough to advance to the finals? I mean really thats messed up. Sure if they were looking for smooth stuff, but a switch 10 is still a nice trick no matter what. I think Giray shouldve still advanced

if it's a hucked switch ten, it doesn't deserve anything. Granted, I was not there, but everyone I've talked to said it was a very legit comp.

fuck that.. i dont know how anything going forward could have beat Pat Waite's switch flatspins, for one no one really does switch flats and 2 it was one of the smoothest trick i saw all day.. some how he only qualified in 6th place with that trick too.

the amplitude on the switch tricks that iddn't advance (will, myself, erik, didali bros.) was not as great as that of the tricks that advanced-they were looking for bigger tricks. they were smooth as anything, jt not as big.

Giray and I both grabbed and brody went bigger than most people who hit it forward. Mine was pretty ugly but it was the first time I've ever tried to do it so sorry if you hate me but girays was decent. i wish we had jumps like that to practice on every day but bristols biggest table(15ft) right now was smaller than the take off jump alone at the mmh(20ft long). The judges were mostly snowboarders who didnt fully understand every ski trick they saw which is understandable since I definitely dont understand every snowboard trick. The judging at mt snow has consistently been questionable and anyone whos been to a mt snow comp should know what i'm talking about. Pats switch flat 9s are definitely more complicated and difficult than a cork 9 but both looked sweet. Anywayyyyy I'm just happy im back in college in VT again so I can ski.

83, you have no idea what you are talking about. Girays sw. 10 was grabbed and not hucked at all, and should have definatly beaten the cork 7's and straight 7's that made finals. The judging was a little messed up.

yeah.. i duno, i think that getting into the finals should have occured for a few people that it didnt.. but, in the end who the hell knows man. i mean.. every judging will be different at every comp. and you can't go back into time to change all of the stuff that occured.. so, just rtock it out and have a good time.. i sucked really bad, like expected.. and that was that.. but, overall i had a good time..

alls im asking for is fucking skier judges not snowboarders, the fact that hitting that jump sw with the amount of speed u needed is just one wonder in itself, im just sour the a 2 people who threw ugly regular sevens made it, and pat waite shouldve won hands down, and i dont know about u but when a kid who has no poles doing a nine beats sw 7s 9s and 10s then thats not cool
