i would like a media passs to the boston snowjam, now how the hell do i get one??

My friend asked me if i wanted to lay out or go water skiing, and thats when i realized that i dint want to answer this question and or any other aquatic sports question and i didn't want to see any of these people again. Next thing I new I went nuts.

 
get into the media industry, get a camera and a really dorky baseball cap with a straigt visor and a bum bag, go to a really gay racing style mag and tell them that you will cover the comp and take photos free of charge as long as they get you a media pass.

 
call up the expo center, they might be able to help you out.

For small comps I dont think it would be incredibly hard. Dont just call up and say 'Im a journalist, could I get a media pass?' Get your shit straight and then give em a call. You will likely need credentials so get with your school newspaper and ask them if you could do a story on it or at least say you are with them. If that doesnt work either lie or hook up with some small time media outlet (radio/paper/tv). Either way they will likely ask you for your credentials when they give you the pass, who knows maybe a fake document (create it in photoshop or quark). It kinda sounds bad lying but its not like you are ripping off anyone too bad.

it's hard to get shit like that. if you say you're with some website they're gonna ask you for your site stats and everything.

ya, well at the detroit snowjam some kids were miss using there media passes and have more or less been black listed from a bunch of events. So if you're going for a one time deal. For sure go a lie but it won't help you out to much if you want to do it again. It is also very late to be working on media passes for the snow jam. We did our application like 2 months ago.
