R.Fahey Active member Oct 19, 2008 #2 The more shape, the more sidecut. If a ski is like 112 - 88 - 106 (tip, underfoot, tail) then it doesn't have much side cut, and will have a higher turn radius. If it's really shaped like 112 - 74 - 104 it has a ton of sidecut, and a shorter turn radius. A turn radius of 14m means it can carve a super tight turn easily.
