MEADOWS OPENING

the word on the block, is that meadows is thinking about opening on Halloween, but so far it looks like there not getting enough snow, but you never know maybe a huge snowstorm will bring a foot or so. But i know this because my friends sister works at meadows as a ski instructor. Its either then or nov 16th or later. Timberline is just waiting on enough snow to open.
 
whenever they get snow really, and have a good enough forcast to keep it open.  its supposed to snow pretty much all next week though which should help

if they opened on halloween that would be amazing though
 
ooohhhh. that would be amazing.... first day of skiing and tons of parties all on the same night. bets day of my life.
 
yea yea bro for surrrrreeee, get HYPHY, no but no joke they are so far looking into opening on october 26th, instead of halloween, or maybe even on halloween. we should organize a madd NS gathering if this stuff goes down!
 
Yup its supposed to snow all week!!!!!

they won't open before halloween because their job fair isn't until the 26-27 and they are definately not fully staffed yet
 
Meh, its not all melted. But the weather lately has been on the warmer side, which sucks for us. The base is completely gone, but the upper mtn still has a lil bit of snow. We just need some weather to roll through, and get rid of the damn ridge of high pressure thats keepin us so warm.
 
Yeah when i was up today there wasn't a park so we just built a little hip kinda thing that was alright, it was fun to just get up and mess around though.
 
the truth is that were just getting really unlucky without getting any sort of a cold front come through, at the same token meadows could have opened in mid oct if they got a massive cold front, which we did but just for a few days and then it all went to waste without anything coming behind it. Theres nothing in the forecast, no rain or anything, just sun. ill be suprised if meadows opens on nov 16th like they plan
 
i would say meadows best case scenario opens 1st of december

the ten day forecast is empty so best case scenario it starts snowing right after that, then it would take them at least two weeks to be combletly set up, add that up you get a possbile opening of november 27th

but i doubt thats going to happen

ok well look at it this way, the news anchors didnt say anything in particular about a 2 feet storm at mt hood when it came almost out of no where in mid of october, maybe this weekend something like that will happen, if it does that would be soo sick
 
yeah, i just talked to god, and he said that this front is the start of ski season, he also said hes gonna make it the best one in a long time. and maybe even make there a slopestyle portion of veg!
 
yay looks like we might get some snow starting friday and continuing through the weekend.  hopefully it stays
