yo im flying out there next tuesday from Vt. tons of snow in the forecast, do you think some of the upper lifts will open? and for the skiing aspect (i dont care about park) where should i go? looking at the trail maps i think meadows looks more interesting, but what do you guys recommend? thanks

 
Go to meadows for sure. Timberline is flat as all hell. It isnt likely that the top lift (cascade) at meadows will open, because it is so exposed, but you can have a ton of fun on Mt Hood Express and Shooting star. They might open Hood River depending on crowds and how much snow they get down there.

I am flying in on wednesday, and hopefully I will get to hit up meadows.
