this year has been average at best. it started off great, lots of early snow but then completely crapped out in late december. rained pretty much all of january, decimating the base. i believe the snow over the last couple days was the first substantial (more than 1 inch) snow in 3 and half weeks. i went up on tuesday, it was good in the morning but by the afternoon the fresh stuff was pretty wrecked. got a few runs in heather, it was hit and miss. the good runs were actually very nice, but the other couple were crusty with lots of underlying stuff coming through. actually my funnest run was through the trees to skiers left of Forrest Park, almost completely untouched and it was fun just bombing through there. spent the rest of the afternoon lapping the parks. the parks are in good condition.
hopefully we get more snow for good spring skiing, otherwise this season is going to be real short. shit last week i went up and was skiing super dirty snow in 45+ degree weather on the slopes, skied in my hoody and was sweating, lets save that stuff for april mother nature, i want POW.....NOW!!!
