So me and my gf are coming up to Whistler for 4 nights, March 30-april 3. So anyway we're wondeirng what suggestions you guys have for fun things to do besides ski. We're gonna ski for 2 days. Also I wanna buy a child pass even though we're both 18 cause that way it's only $30 per day, but we'd be ordering the "ski 2 days out of 3" pass online. I dunno if they check tickets a lot or whatever or if I should just get regular tickets for $60 a day.

Also suggestions for places to eat would be great, I've heard sushi village is pretty dank. I don't really wanna spend over $30 ish per plate so ya.

Also we're staying here: http://www.alluradirect.com/417/index.cfm?contentID=welcome

and taking a train from Everett (near Seattle) to Vancouver then a bus from Van. to Whistler, will it be easy to get from the bus place (wherever that is) to the condo, (tyndall lodge, on main street?)

I don't know how you're going to pass as 12 to work the child pass, but I'd recommend you try and grab youth tickets from 7-11 in vancouver. As for things to do besides skiing, my gf and I went dogsledding in the callahan valley on friday and it was fucking fun. especially if you like dogs. A little pricy, but worth it I think. Snowmobiling and Ziptrek are both supposed to be fun, but I haven't done either in whistler, so I can't really speak for either of them there.

As for good restaurants that aren't too expensive, Sushi Village is amazing (but is kinda pricy), and I'd also suggest 21 steps or Mongolie Grill. If you want to go to a super nice dinner one night, try Araxi, Quattro, Trattoria, Umbertos, or Aprés (that one is amazing).

thanks for the info. I can't stop on the way up cause we're taking a trainand bus. I was gonna buy teh tickets online from the place that I booked the condo at. If I got the kid tickets I'd just say that I took my btothers on accident if the lifties at the bottom asked. Then If they wanted me to go pay the difference I'd go do that and just hope they wouldn't actually make me pay the difference. Anyone know how far the bus station is from main street where my condo is?

I kinda wanna snowmobile too, probably just get one for me and my gf, and have her ride on the back for most of the time cause i doubt she wants to drive a ton anyway. Anyone have hookups on snowmobiles?

this isnt some mom and pop resort dude so yes, they will make you pay full price for your tickets. pretty much not gunna happen bro, you will prob be able to buy a youth because the limit is 19, but def not child.

main street is not far from the bus loop, but nothing is far in whistler. basically get off the bus, turn 180 degrees and walk across the village gate road. main street is behind those first buildings. make sure to check out Glacier Shop and The Circle on main street, as well as Elements, which has the most badass tapas and drinks for super cheap.

I know what kind of resort it is, I've been there at least 6 or 7 times before just always with parents or friends with parents, never just me and a girl. I know a kid up there (steezepatrol) and he said I might be able to get away with child tickets. I know I could buy youth ones...we are 18. I won't me able to drink cause I dn't have a fake and I'm not 19.

Can anyone reccomend a good place to rent snowmobiles or have a guided tour for a few hours or whatever? I don't want some complete n00b shit cause I've snowmobiled a few times already and I do a lot of other powersports.

Make sure you figure out where the bus drops you off, cause some drop off in Creekside, and some drop off at the Village bus loop. From the Village bus loop it would be a 5 minute walk, but if its in Creekside you'll need to grab a taxi or hop on the public bus system for a 5-7 ride to the Village. Check whistler's website for links to snowmobiling or google whistler and snowmobiling, should be a number of results.

And don't waste your time with child tickets, unless you are the youngest looking 18 year olds ever, there is no chance it will work. Save yourself the headache and get youth tickets.

Haha, I plan on hanging out with him up there. My girlfriend keeps being like "is your friend Sheldon coming over, I'll make you guys dinner". I know Sheldon won't pass up free food either haha. Only a few more days. Today was my 6 month with my girl too, yay.

Maybe, but I can probably find a place to rent one for 18 year olds. I mean if they rent condos to 18 year olds I'm sure some outfit will rent a snowmobile to us.

it sounds like you are coming here and planning to not spend A LOT of money....GOOD LUCK

ps. sushi village rocks

pps. snowmobilings lame

Meh, I'll spend as much as I need to I guess, I mean I'd like to not completely break the bank, which I know is possible, but we'll see. I just wanna have a good time with my girlfriend.

Snowmobiling is so fun, then again it might not be as good in the spring so maybe we won't do that.

You wont get to rip around on a sled anyways. Just trail riding...and its deeper than its been all year. Aint spring just yet.

And if you buy a child pass...good luck you may just loose it all together and stuck sitting at the bottom. You will see

Ya, we got hella snow here in WA too. Fuckin snowed at my house today and yesterday and i live at sea level, this shit is baller as fuck. I dunno what we're gonna go now. Skiing is $60 for a day of me going slow with gf cause she hasn't skied in a while, but she said she wants to go a lot now that she has gear which is cool. Sledding would be alright I guess but it costs like $120+ for 2 hours. Well I'm sure we will have fun whatever we do.

Well obviously, but I didn't wanna say that cause them the"claim police" would eat me.

In any case we're here now and it's sick as fuck, our room is really dope. Grovery store is more expensive than where I live but not too bad. I think we're gonna go check out that sex shop.

We went to sushi Village instead, I didn't wanna pay $40 for a steak.

Had a nice good steak at Earls though 2 nights ago.

I'm home now and at school. Back to my hell of a reality. My teachers are all pissed cause I missed school.
