MCL Knee Brace

I well and truly snapped my MCL last Easter and now it is

time to think about getting back out and skiing. However, I have been told that

for this winter at least I should ski with a knee brace, and that it would be

advisable to wear it when DH mountain biking.

However, I haven't a clue where to start.

I have looked at the following and all seem to have gotten praise but I am not

sure which is best.

- Asterisk Cell

- DonJoy seem to offer a billion different ones

- CTi is another brand I have come across.

If I am to use it when mountain biking, I need to be able to wear knee pads or

something to my knees being cut to buggery when I come off (which I do slightly

too often).

I have been told that a possible other option would be using tape to support my

MCL.

Any thoughts or comments would be great!!

Cheers

CTi makes a great brace with a knee cup that will protect your knee cap when you come off your bike. Asterisk since it was designed as a motocross brace originally also has this feature. I havent tried either of them but have heard good things about both of them.

Ah right thats good to know. I think I will have to have a chat with my physio and see what she says. Might be worth seeing if I can try the Asterisk one on somewhere as I know its an OTS brace where as the CTi one is custom made I think.

Cheers though.
