Mckain or Obama

^obama is actually now the front-runner (knock on some fucking wood it's about fucking time)

definitely obama, no question

no. he's beating her currently. but i'm not voting for either. Obama won't bring the change he so often repeats and McCain is a huge war hawk. but if i have to, i'll vote obama just to keep McCain out.

no, why don't you go do some research for yourself before you post things that which make you look like an uneducated idiot.

neither, if thats who it comes down to i'm voting for an independent. what kind of choice is that? a moderate dressed up as a conservative republican? or a democrat who plans to bankrupt our country through ludacris spending? our two party system sucks, it is time for party realignments and a third party uprising.

its a bit ironic that the democrats are still using a delegate system to decide who gets the nomination isn't it? especially after the whole Bush/Gore battle where Bush won the electoral college but Gore won the popular vote

If McCain does what he says, then he will eliminate all ridiculous pork in congress. He will also be able to wrap the Iraq thing up in as responsible a way as is possible at this point.

Or I could vote Barakula who is all about.... um... being a good public speaker? Great rhetorician? I guess thats about it though...

So probably McCain. (even if he is a Panamanian?)

smart man.. obama is the shit,.. if you cote for mekain you vote for 100 years more of war. and another fukin retard for president... onya if you do..

I have thought about this a lot because they were my choices on both sides of the party from the start. When it comes down to it I will probably go McCain because while he wants to wrap up Iraq, I think his slow wrap up will be better than Obamas fast pull out... and I don't see what is wrong with a moderate republican, it's sure as hell better than a neo-con or a further right republican.

there is no way that obama will get the nomination. even if he wins every single primary, the clintons run that party.

they will not let obama get nominated, its as simple as that

Say something to support McCain. Please try. Tell me what he can do that will be good. Just because he is bad ass doesn't mean he will be a good president, just like how Barack is black, doesn't mean he should win. With that said, There are plenty of reasons why Barack should be president. Help for the lower/middle class, a man who will do a lot to see the end of this war, a man who will take away lobbyist control of the white house, a man who will tackle the racist problem head on, a man who will create respect for our country among the rest of the world, and last but not least, A MAN WHO WILL UNIFY THE COUNTRY.

McCain will not be able to do half the things I just listed above. If you try to argue that those are bad things that I listed above, then you have seriously skewed views. Don't vote for McCain just because he's Republican for party loyalty, please see past that before you cast your vote for a regressive America. After the Dems clean up the mess that Bush has created, then Ron Paul should run, I think he will be a great candidate for a later election where his platform will seem a whole lot more realistic, where he won't have to dig America out of several different holes.

what the fucks your deal bro? just chill out. you dont need need to be jumpin on every kid ya see for not havin they facts straight.

Mccain I guess but I seriously don't like either one. I don't like hillary either. I was placing a lot of hope in Romney, but shit I guess the next 4 years are just going to suck.

well put sir

Yeah I agree with the whole party loyalty thing, my dad said that he would vote obama before a lot of the republican candidates, and he is a republican. I there is one thing that I am not to sure about in this post it is the ron paul part, I dont know that even in a different time he would be able to do the things he says, he is pretty out there.

And people who are talking about how none of the people who you like are going to be in the election, look on the bright side, at least we have seen our last bush president

I dont like either of them. I think we've got george bush #2 and a socialist, and both of them will probley spend the country even more into debt.

you obviously dont know McCains Vietnam History. He has said he will stop the war, but he doesn't think a sudden withdrawal is possible

You mean helping lower class through more entitlement programs? Yeah that will be great for our country economically and socially...

My perspective is that neither candidates fit the qualifications to be the president, they will be C avg. presidents, just how Bush. What I don't get though is Obama. All he claims is that he will CHANGE the U.S., he doesn't say how he's going to change it, just change. You hear no clear idea on what Obama supports. Also he's in the senate, isn't what senators are supposed to do is CHANGE the problems with the government, yet Obama seems like he can only change things as president. So my vote goes to McCain because he has ideas but a terrible illegal immigrant policy. If Obama cant change stuff as a senator than he should not qualify as president. The race of 2008 is almost a popularity contest, this goes for the democrats surly more. Obama is popular due to the fact that he is black and Hillary, lets not even go there. It is time for a third party to break out, which it will because if the saying history repeats its self then a third party will surly come about. Look at the Republicans in the election of 1860 and the whigs and federalists. All I can say is that no one is a good candidate, and if Romney stuck in he would of been the best.

The whole pork issue has to be taken care of by senators, not the president.  And if you mean lead our country into more wars when you say take care of the "iraq situation" then your right he will.

Back to the original topic i will probably vote either obama or independant. unsure right now.

to be honest there doesnt look to me to be any hands down solid candidates, i guess if it comes down to it im going with obama. hillary is a cunt and McCain is a war monger. shit this election is gonna suck im sorry to say

To Schmindnj- for some reason it wont let me quote you... but pretend i did, and then posted this

riiiiight... you know that thing that the executive branch does? yeah, the veto thing....

i highly doubt McCain is gonna go adventuring into more conflicts...

this is a guy that seems to have a pretty firm grasp on what war is

about.

Obama has a definite plan, you just need to actually do some research, just because his really good speeches are all you see on youtube doesnt mean that it is all he does. And as far as romney goes, I couldnt be happier that he is out of there, he says dumb things nearly as often as bush.

yeah, i came off like an ass, my bad, i was just trying to educate him. It's just a pet peeve of mine when people makes a thread like this without any prior research. As someone so eloquently stated upon a PM to me, I had a lot of sand in my vagina at the time due to a bad headache.

Actually Obama wants to cut ludacris spending. That's why he is going to post reports of all of Congress's spending online so that anyone can download it. So people can see the ludacris shit that our government spends money on, and do something about it. Just because he's a democrat doesn't necessarily mean that he's going to run our country into debt. Bush spent more money on the war then Obama will on everything for the entire time he's in office (assuming he makes it there).

“One of the things I would do if I were President would be to sit the Shiites and the Sunnis down and say, ‘Stop the bullshit.’” - John McCain on reconciliation in Iraq.

Sure seems to have a good grasp!

Matt Welch, author of recent McCain biography: "... But this tradition that he comes from is incredibly interventionist

and expansionist. It’s really interesting that in the primaries so far,

if you look at the exit polls, among people who voted in the GOP

primaries who consider themselves antiwar, anti-the-Iraq-war, and among

voters who consider themselves angry at George Bush—and that’s a

quote—and among independents, McCain is beating his opponents by

two-to-one. If you actually look at people who describe themselves as

just Republicans, McCain has not yet won a single primary. So he is

basically winning the GOP primaries on the back of the antiwar vote,

when in fact he would be the most explicitly interventionist president

since Teddy Roosevelt, and he certainly makes George Bush look gun-shy

by comparison."

please refer to JD's post above me. and of course i know his vietnam history. it's hard not to at this point.

he is somewhat inexperienced in politics in general when matched against McCain and even Hillary, also he has all this talk and promise of change when in reality its all just hype, hes not gonna be able to walk into the white house and do half the things he has promised. I just think if he wins hes going to end up in over his head. He is the smartest person still in the race without a doubt I just think he'd make a better president 8 years from now. Im voting for McCain.
