So Im flipping through channels looking for the weather and i see a skier huck a huge cliff, I look down and notice its channel nine, ABC. Im like what the hell this is sick, its a preview for STEEP the new skiing movie. After the trailer it cuts to good ol shane sitting on a couch like a huge dork holding a cup of coffee with ingrid backstrom and this guy andrew whos in the movie too. they talked about how exxxxxtreme we are and how we do death defying stunts.

So there you have it boys and girls, freeride skiing just got introduced to the masses and im pretty sure every soccer mom and whoever else was watching were left scratching their heads
 
Was Ingrid in fact wearing a red white and blue bikini as a tribute to Glen Plake's appearance on the show like 15 years ago? I need to know this. Like now.
 
ha that was excellent, any one know if the movie is going to show in other theaters besides NYC LA and in "select" ski resorts?

word...if tanner had McConkey's self image then tanner would not be a bad rep cuz of all the coverage he gets..
 
Hmm aparently ABC is trying to change their morning audience from gays and house wives?? SKIING RULES!!
 
i just watched a trailer and glen plake said "as soon as i got out of jail, i went skiing"........what did he go to jail for?
 
to me, thats what skiing is. skiing without being goofy is no fun. rip some cool lines, throw down, but then do something ridiculous. its fun stuff.

on the main topic though, looks like a sick movie, and im glad something like it finally came through.
 
i remember tara dekatis (sp) on the today show or somthing a few years back. they set up a rail i think and she got absolutely WRECKED on national tv. funny and bad at the same time, cause she totally got fucked up
 
I never said I didn't wanna have McConkey, I just said he was a goof sometimes, not really a bad thing. I never said anything about Tanner though, although he is an amazing skier regardless of what anyone says. Hell I could list off people that would be better than McConkey but who cares.

i wanna see it - its so cool to see skiing on tv but not too much because then it becomes gay and us skiers are too core for tv anyway
