McCain's running mate is the Alaskan Governor??!

Hey Quinny... how do you like my health care plan: delete the words "Over 65" from the Medicare statute.

So the people who can't afford healthcare will be able to afford health insurance plus the extra taxes needed for implementing a socialized healthcare system? That seems rather illogical.

But for every me, there's people like my sister, who'd rather sit and read all day. Not too much risk there. Until she gets hit by a drunk driver crossing the street. Until she falls and breaks something on some stairs. And then there's the kid how gets cancer when he's 12, huge burden on the family, not covered for whatever reason. It's good to know that wherever you're at in your life, you can still be cared for in the event of something unfortunate.

I don't think there's a clause for refusal of treatment for an idiot, but there is for withheld sympathy.

i have read the whole thread and i'm not even american...

your political system is so funny :)

Socialized healthcare actually has a fair amount to do with health insurance. They're basically the same thing.

Great, as long as its not grossly and ludicrously disproportionate to everyone else...which is has been before and will be even more if Obama gets into office.

Well, this would have been a bold, ballsy move from McCain, except for the fact that this is just a desperate pull to get those hilary supporters who are of unsure of obama on to his side. I think that the majority of the american people should be able to see through this desperate attempt to win votes. also, the whole time mccain has been attacking obama is because of expierence. Obama chose Biden, the right man for the job, but Palin served like what, 2 terms? way to contradict yourself McCan't

Then why not simply lobby for mandatory isurance rather than a government system? This would be similar to how many states hand car insurance. Logistically that would be a thousand times simpler than to form a comprehensive government mandated system.

Granted I would still oppose the idea for a list of reasons, but that list would be shorter than the one against socialism.

But it's everyone elses fault your mom was a whore? If you can't provide for your children don't expect me to.

so because your parents don't have money for whatever reason you should be limited to what you can do because you cant afford education health care etc... if your parents are fuck ups you shouldn't be forced to be one...

Yea, pretty much, someone else's irresponsibilty shouldn't become my financial burden. Education is free btw.

and do you have a problem giving your tax money too kids who have whore moms so they can get the same education as you?

I do, in a way. I'm voting against my towns proposal to blow 200mil on a new HS. It's unneccesary, kids of today take for granted half the shit they're entitled to. A brand new school sin't going to change anything. If you have deadbeat parents, chances are you're gona be a deadbeat too. Look at native americans, they get a free college education, but they're all still a bunch of whiney ass losers selling firecrackers on the side of the road.

How about if the people with 10 kids they can't afford were taxed at a higher rate once their kids were grown up.

I know, it disgusts me how racist it is that they get free college education, and I already said a lot of kids blow most of the privileges they have growing up. Also, rich families tend to have less kids than lower income litters, 1 drain on society is better than 6.

Fuck you. Honestly. Our country has been responsible for millions of their ancestors deaths, and we corral their people into land even the US government doesnt want. I think a free college education, IF they even get to that point, which most dont, is fair enough.

Just because your rich family has less kids doesnt mean you get executive privilege to teach the world how it all works. The "Drain on society" argument is bullshit. It all depend on how many siblings you have. Some of the most accredited 'geniuses' of our time were born to large unprivaledged families. Jst because you are born rich and alone doesnt mean you give the human race more in the long run.

Who's country? that's right our country, not theirs, it was, not it isn't. But thank you for strengthening my point, "I think a free college education, IF they even get to that point, which most dont, is fair enough." They're given it all and they throw it away. And who said anything about teaching the world how it works? I just don't want to pay for something that's not mine. How is the drain on society part bullshit? Do you really think it costs the same amount to provide welfare services to one person as it does six? Just because you're born rich does mean you're less of a drain on social services, and my income.

im sorry but that is retarded.

if you want to listen to that Crap, your better off being sold on every god damn point in a moore movie.

nationalized health care is a good thing.

it benefits the poor, and helps our middle class grow.

Do you not think that it is a moral obligation to provide health care?

i have witnessed first hand how fucked up health insurance providers can be, and with continuing increases in technology, it will be much easier for them to pretedetermine who to provide for.

Without health insurance, a serious injur can ruin someone's life. Just because you will probably never be at risk, doesnt mean its useless.

back to palin.

it was incredibly racist....

but as someone who has a lil bit of experience with the subject, its not 100% false...... i am the partal product of a grandfather who chose to take the good way out, and he made better choices than other people in his family, and years down the road, it is amazing what sort of life i lead compared to some of my mom's cousins, and their children....

make good choices people, and i cant put a number on it, but believe me, there ARE native Americans who loaf off the government, and are lazy assholes..... i know, i am related to some.

and you might be able to play the ("rich white kid card') on me i am( 75% swede, german, ) but the racial connection is there, and i can prove my heritage, (as sad as it might be)

haha i was actually having this same sort of conversation with some friends i have know scince i was 2, and they couldnt believe i have indian blood in me........ but its fact, i had relatives on the trail of tears, so i am the slightest bet cherroke..

White people's country? I thought they were Americans too... I guess there's supposed to be uneven treatment across the board, if you party has 1950's values.

meh, native americans aren't sucking it too bad around here. if you're born into the right tribe around here you've got guaranteed high class status for life from your casino earnings.

I'm with you that they should get university scholarships. They're such a small percentage of the population now that its wrong for them not to be represented in some form in higher education. But they have to be at least 1/2 Indian, none of this 1/12 bullshit.

I just feel like any "privileges" based on race are wrong. Unlike you I just can't morally support race segregated government programs.

What about temporary privaledges because of our nations terrible treatment of their people and the shitty ass land we forced them into?

Even under those circumstances I don't think it's appropriate if it extends past a generation. There's nothing keeping indians on their shitty land, they could be livin' it up at Sexy University where the girls wear bikini's to class and shit
