For you who live in Mass you all know how stupid Mcas is. For you who dont live in mass you probaly have a test some what like this. This test desides if we can graduate high school. Its soooooo stupid. The state sends us a test that we have to take. They are judging us on one type of showing them how we learn and show them what we have learned. I just finished my last english Mcas like 10 minutes ago and I wanted to make a thread on it. We should somehow find a way to get rid of this test. I know all of you hate it and dont want to take it. What do you guys think of this test. Also do you guys have a test like it? If so what do you think.

Youre mad because MA has a graduation test/requirements? You should be happy, that means you wont have dipshits getting their diploma and making your schools look bad with future colleges. And if you think you did poorly/may not graduate, I'd suggest more time off of newschoolers and more time hitting the books...
 
No I dont think I failed it. I just dont think that we should take it. It should be up to your school if you graduate. They know the students best and they know if your ready for the real world. Not a stupid test thats the state makes you take.
 
Those were so easy, and im sure you're teachers give you breaks and don't make you do work the rest of the day. Suck it up kid
 
Today I had to write a 5 page essay, and 4 open response questions with 35 multiple choice questions. You think thats easy to do in 2hrs and 30mins.. well its not.
 
Good, the state of mass is on top of their shit making sure the kids coming from their high schools are decently educated. Be thankful you dont live in a southern state where your diploma means nothing when billy joe the bucktoothed hoe can get one too!
 
1. Students are given UNLIMITED time to complete the test.

2. Breaks are given every 30 minutes

3. No classes for an entire week.

..Oh and....

4. The MCAS is a fucking joke.

I just had it too and 1. Its really easy 2. We dont get homework all week because of mcas so i dont mind it and 3.. your school doesnt give you guys extra time if you take lobger than the alloted time? For 4 days of testing and you only need to take it once in high school (not counting other mcas subject tests) its really not that bad
 
hahahahha not one thing you said there was true. We only had at the most of 2hrs and 30mins. We had classes all week, and we never got any breaks till we where done with the test.

look, everyone takes standardized tests. stop whining, people don't care that you had to write an essay. i'm not trying to get in a fight over this, but honestly, we all have to take tests like that. i kinda like it, it means no hw for a week, and a break from classes.
 
if you can't pass the MCAS you don't deserve to go to college.

things don't get easier in school/life, so if you're complaining that a mid-high school level test is too hard or too much of a pain in the ass, you're in for an unpleasant surprise
 
MCAS is easy as fuck, quit your bitching. There's no excuse to not get proficient/advanced in all the sections. You do get unlimited time, according to the statewide MCAS testing policies, and the material isn't exactly rocket science.
