i have Mcafee security software on my computer but my free trial recently expired. I do not want to pay to get it from now on and was thinking of downloading it from lime wire. My question is will this work? will I get the virus updates? or does any one know of a way I can get free protection?

i downloaded my anti-spyware program on limewire with the crack code..and it has worked fine..dunno about mcafee tho

I have McAfee and I seriously doubt the peice of shit works....it never detects anything and I have like a million viruses......at least my computer doesnt run slow tho.

I know of the different programs, and I can get any of them from limewire but I dont know if it will update. and if it does not then have a virus/spyware software program is useless.

I have norton and if i scan with that i usually get nothing. but i also have ad-aware (i dunno why it's called that cuz i think its just a virus scanner not a pop-up blocker) and it picks up anything and everything. norton didn't pick up shit when i had a virus but ad-aware got it right away.

go to msn.com and download beta, this cleaned all the crap outta my comp, now if it would just clean my shorts...

mcaffee wont update unless you pay for the service. Thats why its a free trial.
