Maybe Selling Full Drone Package

I am thinking about selling my drone to upgrade to a new one. It is a dji phantom and transmitter with working fpv and an installed 2-axis gimbal with tilt control for the included GoPro Hero 3+ Black edition. I have spent well over $1000 on this and countless hours working on it. I will upload pictures in the final thread if i decide to sell it but for now it looks like this but with prop guards

I am creating this thread because i want to hear from you guys what you think. Is it even worth putting up? How much would you pay or it? Anything helps

What is a "canon red"?

Why do you think the inspire one will suck. It seems good for the price.

The DJI s900 is around 8k if you want it fully kitted out with wireless video and a gimbal for a DSLR and all the other accessories. The s900 also cannot lift a red camera or anything bigger than a gh4, 5d, dslr

The drone i am looking to upgrade to is the new dji inspire 1. The s900 is way to expensive for most average consumers priced at $8k not including a camera or gimbal. And by canon red i think he just meant Red cameras like epic or scarlet.

the new inspire 1 drone dji came out with sucks, go with spread 900 and put a 5d mark iii on it or a canon red

The inspire 1 is cheaper, easier to fly and operate and has better video quality than a 5d mark III. The inspire 1 camera can shoot 4k 4096x2160 at 24p in MP4, Mov and cinema DNG I think. The sensor is a Sony exmor, similar to the sensor in the a7s.

i've been flying rc heli/planes for 7 years now and been flying drones for 4 years. and everyone i know who are real into building there own drones have even said the camera that the dji inspire1 has on it isn't as good as you really think. hero4 is a better camera then whats on the inspire1. the downfall is that your not going to be able to switch out cameras for it and you have to use the one sony built for it. flight time is short then the phantom2 that you current have. for what there asking for the inspire, you could actually build a drone that's less the price and make it better. there radios there using are real fisher price cheap looking. i had a phantom2 and took out there receivers and put a spektrum receiver in it. that's cool your wanting a inspire1 but i don't think it's really worth it for what there asking.

yea that transmitters are cheap and the camera is not as good as the hero4 black, but you can mount a hero4 onto it if you want. the gimbal is removable. I dont think its the best drone option out there, but still a solid option for the upper level novice.

Definitely worth putting up if you're trying to get something new. I know im in the market for a drone and a ton of other people are as well so it will definitely sell quick!

How much do you think someone would be willing to spend on this?

You can attach an action cam to the drone without the gimbal. You will not have the ability to pan air tilt and there won't be a gimbal to remove shake. I don't think they make a gimbal for the Sony action cam yet. Hopefully it will come out soon.

You know, the cam on inspire one is actually interchangeable, and has the same sensor as the gopro4 BE.

Last time I was into building these things, I think I remember you could build your own that was far better than most DJI copters at a lower price

I was messing around with prices and you can build a hexacopter for around 1000$ with carbon fiber and shit. FPV wasn't factored in I don't think
