Maybe MTV isn't completely musically retarded

So i really don't like mtv, but a few shows are funny, so i'll watch it from time to time. today happens to be a marathon of beauty and the geek. i have homework to do so its just on in the background. and this short little blip comes on the screen for like 5 seconds and i swear it was aesop rock. also earlier on a commercial they were using a sample of the beat of None SHall Pass. maybe mtv is trying to change its shitty image?

first off aesop rock is a guy. i don't know why people always get that confused. second, the day a talent like aesop rock goes fully mainstream is the day i stop listening to music. aesop rock isn't a rapper he's a poet. his music isn't liked by a lot of people because it makes no sense when you listen to it. but when you look at the lyrics and decipher them, they're incredibly deep

when i first saw the thread i thought, "haha no way, mtv is always retarded." it isn't bad television if you feel like wasting time with endless reality shows. as far as mtv music goes, do they even play music? i mean seriously, it's all reality shows.
