Maybe eastcoast isnt so far behind afterall

1-3" tonight and 1-3" tomorrow.

Might be iffy for snowmaking tonight with forecasted lows in the upper 20s and higher humidity.

They might hold out until tuesday night to turn on the guns. Nothing's melting up high though until MAYBE Friday with a high of 40 forecasted.

I'm telling you people, we're gonna be shredding lift accessed terrain this weekend, its going to be radness.

Even if that doesn't happen, we'll be hiking some rails...jea!!

!!!!!Update: From the Killington Insider:

Snowmaking underway at Killington

Snowmaking is underway for the 2009-10 season at Killington Resort. We started at 1 a.m. with a number of guns going on Reason in the Northridge area. By later this evening, we expect to have a number of Low E Ratnik guns going on Rime and Upper Great Northern.

Mother Nature also helped us out with 4 inches of new snow at Killington Peak and 1.5 inches at K-1 Lodge.

Based on the current forecast, we’re expecting good production for the next four-six days as overnight temperatures ranging from the middle 20s all the down to the middle teens. The long-range forecast shows another cold weather system moving in around the 24th.

As for opening, we're still shooting for early November. However, we will open as soon as we can provide a quality top-to-bottom skiing and riding experience here at Killington.
