registration at 10, festivities at noon.

so does that mean skiing starts at 10, or 12?

thanks.

when they are done setting up is the deal. obviously, you want to stay out of the way, give them time to salt and such.

THe set up will be better if they are built as late as possible due to the melting factor. Last year we got there at 9am and lent a hand with helping set stuff up.

Yeh... I have a lot of May Day questions too, since I wasn't able to make it last year.

How long can we ski still?

I heard a rumor on the last day that there was potential for a full Boulder Park slope and maybe a lift? Any updates on this?

Is there an actual competition or what?

Thanks!

There won't be a lift. We looked at it yesterday, and it just isn't possible. There is more snow then last year, but the last couple of weeks since we closed we have lost a lot of snow. The way it looks right now it will probably be about the bottom third of boulder slope (as wide as possible).

There is still a good amount of snow in what used to be the jump line, so we should be able to accomodate most of the suggested set-ups. The thing to remember is that we will probably have about 24-36 inches of base (maybe even less) once we get everything pushed out, which will restrict what we can build to an extent.

All of this is a rough estimate, once we begin to move snow we will have a better idea of what we will have to work with. Shoot with any questions and I will try and answer as best I can.

Wow... sounds absolutely incredible! All of us up here at Penn State are super stoked!!! I think we'll be bring 3-4 cars of kids on the 2 hr drive down I-80.

Thanks for the update and see you all on Saturday!

The guys are trying hard.

There is a good amount of snow. What used to be the second jump is now the drop into the last jump which is going to be between 20 and 25. There is a rythm sections and 10-12 rail/box features.

Oh my god... I don't think I've had that much fun in months. May Day was incredible!!!

Look for a frontpage article on NS in the next few days.

Thank you SO much for everyone who made this event happen. It was incredible in so many ways.

THANKS!
