Maximum # of re-mounts?

Honestly, it depends on the ski. Most skis can handle 3, some can handle only 2, there are even a few that can only handle 1...there are also skis out there that can take like 4 or 5 mounts (but you have to change the way you ski them...these are usually thick core, wide, hard charging powder/big mountain skis...but after 2 or 3 mounts they really become an all-mountain/cruiser ski).

What skis are you looking to remount...then you can get the best answer possible.
 
I wouldn't recommend 3 mounts on those skis...they're thin, and have a lighter core. If possible, don't remount, but if there's no other way then I guess you'll have to...but you may want to be prepared for them to snap on you eventually.
 
well I had rossignol axial 2s 6cm back from center and then jesters dead center and now the guy who wants to buy them wants me to put the axial 2s on dead center.
 
Well, unless is BSL is 10-20mm more or less than yours, it'll be very tough to remount there regardless (Marker and Axial2s have different hole patterns...but they're close enough that there would be overlap, but not a full hole of overlap...hard to explain, but basically they'd be drilling into half of the hole). I'd recommend to him that he find a way to get some griffons or jesters (both have the same hole pattern) and just reuse the holes.
 
yeah,I would never drill before check that the holes will not over lap obviously.I told him to try and get some griffons or jesters(I got my jesters for $140 brand new) he could put them in the already drilled holes.
