Yesterday Max Mancin pro tele-skier was involved in a car accident. His girlfriend and unborn baby were killed and max is still in a coma clinging to life. pray for max
 
oh my god thats the worst news ive heard in a while, not only is that tragic that his wife and kid died and that he is still in bad shape, but whenever i whatched him in a tele movie he looked like he had such a good time and looked like such a chill guy. I really hope he gets better and recovers soon and can get over the death of his loved ones
 
max is responsive and in pain (this was the word from his sister) - which is a good thing. it sounds like he will most definitely survive this accident. This news has hit our community hard. Max is from here (crested butte) and still lives here. My thoughts go out to his girl's family as well. Terrible, sad news.

 
yeah to say the least. a tragic year in the butte indeed. Hopefully we get some powder this year to help everyone forget the pain.
 
just got another update from our friend who is with max at the hospital:

"Max is pretty drugged but he recognized us and he'll be out of ICU kinda soon hopefully. They have him walking around a little bit already."

Good news admidst all the bad.

she has cancer and she's not doin too good.
 
and not to advertise this or anything but there has been over 20 deaths in this valley since asher... terrible year here.

things like this just make me cringe. its so crazy how 1 unexpected event can totally change someones like. best wishes to Max and i hope he overcomes the challenges he faces
 
Yeah, sounds like he will be ok, but I cannot even begin to imagine what it would be like to be him right now. Completely...horrible. Fuck. Thoughts are with him for sure.
 
man....what did we do to deserve this run of luck in our little mountain paradise?

to the max man- my best wishes and my most sincere condolences. this is an event that no one should have to do deal with, let alone an awesome guy like you. i wish you the best of luck for recovery and i hope in time your pain inside can be healed as well! get better soon man!
