I apologize if there has already been a thread on this;

Where is Max Hill at these days? Did he quit skiing? I miss watching edits where he would butter skis to the point of nearly snapping in half

My coach at blue in Ontario lmao

dude skied for lines skis... the team resided in a cargo van... while will wesson took any chance of sponsor money to pay back his mommy for paying his way for decades of not having a job... oh yea, per diem was one slice of pizza, sometimes pepperoni...

THE DARKSIDE LOOKED GLAMOUROUS, IT WAS NOT.

just speculating here: spending too much time in whistler screws people up. you can only party so much for so long before realizing youre gonna die if you keep doing it.

I feel like this is true for mt hood as well

When you're skiing at a high level you have to either be very rich already or at some point start getting well paid, which is rarely what happens when your thing is doing unique tricks and having a specific style and your popularity exists within a small part of a niche community.

So when you get to a certain age and want to move on with your life, lasting relationships, etc. , it's necessary to find a way to make a good living and find different ways to engage with skiing.

Once you hit your early 30s, the pain can really start to hit too.

Cole Drexler said something to the effect that it wasn't worth it to keep skiing professionally for free equipment and a small travel budget when he quit.

Falling into the wrong crowd in Whistler does for sure, falling into the right crowd however is a recipe for the raddest times
