You guys deserve some honesty, so here it goes.
That was a 5 minute long segment with three extremely capable, unique and inspiring skiers. Yet what I walked away with was the idea of slush on the ground and families looking cold as they walk home. There were 8 features in all 5 minutes of footage, and for the first 3 minutes only 3 features were shown. 3 features in three minutes, and not because you are taking the time to show banger after banger, but because for some reason it is necessary to look at Lolo in his gangster cork three pose for 20 seconds (I'm assuming just because you have a phantom flex and that's cool by default, right?).
Listen, you guys clearly have filmmaking talent. Why not take the time to go to more features with the budget at your fingertips rather than spend it at the rental house? At the end of the day, skiers are going to be the main audience buying your movie. At the end of the day, skiers appreciate skiing, not 1000fps, 4k, or RAW codecs.
Honestly, if I was one of those skiers, I would be a bit disappointed that there was more focus on the snow being flung off my ski in super slomo than there was on my skiing. And as a skier watching that segment, I was disappointed that you underused their talent so you could get that epic shot of a pug jumping off a snowbank.
Given that, I loved the shot of max on the winch. And the features were unique. So cheers!
