Yeah I got "Live at Stubbs" and I agree most of the songs on there are pimp as hell. There is only like 2 or 3 songs on that cd that i dont like. Otherwise, He is probably the best Hassidic Jewish reggae artist out there right now.

Its just so weird seeing him sing though, cus you would expect it to be coming out of someone like damian marley or something. His music is sick though.

your a fucking moron, his musics bomb and he converted to judaism, wasnt born one. get ur shit straight. he was a doped out hippy till 18

"Matthew Miller was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania on June 30th 1979, corresponding to the Jewish date of the 5th of Tamuz 5740. Shortly after his birth, the Miller family moved to Berkeley, CA and eventually settled in White Plains, NY. Growing up, Matisyahu's parents sent him to Hebrew School a couple of times a week, but like many kids, he resisted the additional school hours and was frequently threatened with expulsion for disrupting the lessons.

By the age of 14, Matthew Miller slid comfortably into the laid-back lifestyle of a teenage hippie. Having fallen in with the "Dead-Head" crowd, he grew dreadlocks and wore his Birkenstocks all winter long. He played his bongos in the lunchroom and learned how to beat-box in the back of class. By 11th grade, despite his carefree days, Matisyahu couldn't ignore the void in his life. After nearly burning down his chemistry class, he knew his mission must begin immediately. He decided to set off on a camping trip in Colorado. Away from his suburban life in White Plains, Matisyahu had the opportunity to take an introspective look at himself and contemplate his environment. It was there in the awe-inspiring landscape of the Rocky Mountain's, that Matisyahu had an eye-opening realization: there is a G-d. "

It's cool that somebody can stand up for their faith and still be considered a good musician and get a lot of mainstream publicity. That's hard to do. Oh yeah, I love his music too.

yea matisyahu is really cool. too bad his name is hard to say, he would be more popular if it wasn't as hard to say because people would say it more. i wanna go to one of his shows

every kid and his sister thinks they discovered that guy. his music is pretty sick though. definetly not the best reggae out there, but sick nonetheless

he used to be a hippie before he converted to judaism, which is probably why. he went to school for two years right here in bend oregon what what. im bummed, the portland show is sold out.

I doubt it. One of his lines from king without a crown is "If your trying to stay high, you're bound to stay low". Doesnt sound like it.

I just heard King Without a Crown and damn, that's a SWEET song. Then I went to his webpage and I thought I had the wrong Matisyahu.
