Math sucks

Can we just all agree that math sucks so much. I got a test for college algebra at 7, been studying all day yesterday (off from work), and since I got off from work, and still feel like I'm screwed.

^what he said. Sucks to suck, be glad you won't have to take higher level math classes or engineering classes (I'm assuming)

What are you studying? I was one of those guys who hated math and thought I would never use it later on in life. It's only when I applied it to something that interests me that I learned to love it.

A lot of pointless crap...

College algebra is so easy. I was bored in class one day and created an algorithm to shortcut like 5 steps when using i.

No you suck.

maybe you should try paying attention in class and studying more than just the day lmfao. I don't understand how people don't take post grad shit more seriously.

College algebra should be the easiest subject to half-ass studying for and receiving 90s in return on the exams.

Fuck math, so bad at everything from slightly difficult algebra and beyond. I'm sick nasty at multiplication and addition though, teachers admired it but hated I sucked at everything else.

I dont get this. Algebra is elementary math. Calculus is where the fun begins not because it's hard but because it's damn useful. Differential Equations is easily my favorite class I've had in college second to calc 3.

Give me your brain. I hate Calc with a burning passion and I still have to take a semester of Calc III

A lot of college algebra class are designed to be weed out classes and are made way harder than they really need to be.

Interesting. I haven't really found diff eq to be anything useful (yet), and I thought calc III was kind of useless since it was just calc II but you do it in 3-D.

Also, assuming your calc goes like mine. I=limits and derivatives, II=integration and series, III=multivariable, IV=Diff eq.

I do see how Diff Eq will be useful in modeling cell growth systems or stuff like that. All I've been able to apply it to so far is super simple separable differential equations to solve fluid mechanics problems

From a physics perspective calc I-III is damn interesting. I wasn't so much saying that Dif Eq was incredibly useful but I have found Euler's method useful for computer approximations with input through a general form. This method is slow as it is solved recursively but I'm too lazy to build a parser so....
