Math B Regents

For New Yorkers like me, today is the Math B Regents, and other ones. Up until this year I have gotten really good grades in math but there is just something about math B shit that I cant do. I think it is because there are many different and complex steps to solve nearly each and every question and if you forget one little trick to any problem, you're fucked. I am shooting for a 65, which is not that hard to get, considering the retard grade curve bumps you up really good, I think I have to get a 56 or something to get bumped up to a 65. I know I am shooting really low but I am scared as hell that I am going to do bad, for example, I got a 48 on the practice. I have been going to all of the review classes that I can and there is a 2-hour review sesh today at the school before the test. I have taken maybe 10 other regents so far and I have over an 85 average on all of them so I am not that stupid, I just don't want to take this math over again.

I think all of the regents grades are curved, but they curve different for all tests. Some curves give good low grade boosts, but some supplement the upper region better than the lower part.

Ok, I am getting ready to go to the review that starts at 9:00, I hope I learn something in 2 hours that will help me pass.

i feel you. i've been fine in math all my life, maintaining prob a 91-93 average, and math B gave me a C thus resulting in my lowest grade ever. i'm supposed to be at review now from 8-11 with bagels, but there's nothing more i can do to learn it.

yeah for me ive had under an 85 in math once, and then this year (9th grade) my first quarter wasw a 79, idk whether its the transition from middle school to high school, or if it s block scheduling or wat, but my mom was pissed. i havent had it in the 90's once this year though

i've heard horror stories about the Math B, math A was easy as hell, my bro passed the Math B, i dunno what his score was though. He's decent in Math. he's not in honors, just 4R(hes a junior so thats 1 year up, not honors tho) so you can't expect too much. its hard though

All except chem.

Anyone else take the english this morn? It was easy shit. I have math at noon. What an asshole move of the state to schedule these on the same day.

yeah i have to leave in like an hour to go take that shit.

its going to suck really bad, but compared to my math final that i took two days ago its going to be a cake walk.

yeah my bro took the english. he said he acidentally cheated when his teacher read them the passage, he started doing the multiple choice, after she finished, she said now you can do it. he was like, uhhh. woops

i would have had my b regents if i took b math, i made a dumb choice and decided not to take it. i had to take graphing claculator and history of math classes, it was basically a study hall you got math credit for

ok well just finished the math and it was pretty easy excpet for multiple choice which i always suck at.

and that really sucks for you guys who had to take the english today too. we took it in january so we got it out of the way and it was soo much nicer.

All of the formula questions they gave were funtion questions. The only thing I cannot do in math. Shit's retarded. I probly got a 75 because 1/4 of the test was function questions.

yea i don't understand how you can get every single question completely right. like the test isn't made for anyone to get everything totally right. going over now to see if i can get my grade.

if it's like find F(x) when x=7 or somehting like that and you have a ti83 or ti84 you can just do 7sto>x and then type the thing on the calculator and it will solve it for you..

haha I can find that no problem. It's when they use an equation that equals f(x) then they tell you to graph it, oh and also when they throw in a pi symbol which equals 180. Why not just use 180. Assholes.

just substitute f(x) for y..

and yeah i agree the whole test should be either in degrees or radians.. both is just bullshit

damn new york
