Matchstick Speaks about TBC & MSP

This is getting ridiculously out of hand. What the hell do any of you kids know about MSP, nothing, you sit there and think you know what your talking about but in reality you dont. I dont claim to know anything about the TBC situation, or a message on josh bermans answering machine, etc, etc......and neither do 99 percent of you kids who are responding on this stuff.

I do know that Scott Gaffney has been in this business before pretty much any of us even skied......he is respected, for a reason. I bought every msp vid from pura vida to ski movie 3. Thats pura vida, sick sense, global storming, ski movie 1, 2 and 3......then i stopped buying their vids cause i was tired of the formula......like has been said it just started to seem like the same movie every year. I have not bought focused, yearbook or hitlist. I dont really plan on buying push because i just dont see the creativeness, yes they are shot extremely well and have extremely high quality footage, but i just dont see the creativeness, i think if they hired someone super unique to edit and put their vid together they could have the best vid in skiing forsure.

But seriously all this hating is ridiculous and is just getting out of hand, so they took some titles from a tutorial, who the fuck cares, they can do whatever the fuck they want, i dont give a shit if they did, i dont buy vids to see dope ass fonts and titles, like give them a fucking break. Seriously if you dont like there videos, then dont buy them, dont associate yourselves with them, but stop hating on stuff you really dont know anything about, im not claiming to know anything about it either.......but im not gonna go all fucking bash crazy over some unreliable internet rumors that no one has really any clue where they came from.....this is all just suck bullshit, you guys should get fucking hobbies or girlfriends or something, jesus fuck

Thank you to Scott Gaffney for finally having the balls to actually sign your NAME to a post on NS.com from the MSP perspective... This is a startling departure from the trends of previous years. Kudos!
 
also, i would really like to have read the post Scott Gaffney made originally trying to clear this stuff up, and about MSP's business practices and creativeness, etc. They def would have been super interesting read coming from a guy who works for the freaking company, someone who actually does know what their talking about........i cant see any logical reason as to why they were deleted......thats just absolutely ridiculous on the part of the mods...
 
First off let me say I am not a fan of the MSP films since The Front Line.

I don't think it has to do w/ bad for you, maybe about a company a mod does/doesn't like. That IS censoring however, a practice that generally sucks.

I also think its funny how everyone would flip shit if MSP got sponsored by Wal-Mart but its totally ok if an athlete did (i.e. "You would too if wal-mart paid you to ski.")

Also, other kid promote their movies in the forums, why can't MSP?

well im just a guy who skis and has been following newschool for a super long time. First vids i bought were sick sense and uprising from TGR, have the premier issue of freeskier, the premier issue of skier, have SPUN, Eric Ibergs first movie (before royalty). And was member number 647 under a different name, so i have been around for a bit.

So dont try to tell me i dont know what im talking about, cause it seems like you have this holier than thow, im king shit of NS type thing going on
 
Ostness was working on a Helly Hansen modeling event in Spain. No ski movie this year because of athlete sponsorship changes. I heard this from my friend who does odd graphic design jobs for Ostness--he heard it from Ostness.
 
Scott Gaffney, thanks for coming on here yourself to clear stuff up. You have made my outlook on MSP a lot more positive than it previously was. Before in the other thread that you posted in where it got deleted, I, and Im sure most other people, didn't know you were Scott Gaffney. I thought you were an alias. Thanks for coming on again, and I hope you stick around to fight rumors and lies. I will give Push a try, my friend will prob buy it.
