Matchstick Productions 100ft. gap jump; Crested Butte

Jacob Wester, and Russel Henshaw were sessioning the hell out of this jump today at Crested Butte. The halfpipe was transformed into this massive 100ft. gap, where the jump was piled up nearly 25ft. tall. After watching the guys speed check from 1:00- 3:00 the weather finally cleared to where filming was actually a possibility. A small crew of 20 locals gathered and drank a few PBR's and watched as the Helicopter geared up. Steve Winter was filming out on the right side of the helicopter and made laps as many times as the skiers wanted. I stayed for maybe 2 hours after the guys started going and saw about 15 jumps go down each, between Russel and Jacob. I don't want to say exactly what the guys were doing but there were some nasty DOUBLES!! I guess wait till the new Matchstick movie is out!!!!!!!
 
Hit it from the side. Ken Block just jumped the superpipe at Northstar like 2 weeks ago. also about a hundo
 
drinking beers and watching some sick doubles live... sounds like you had a pretty awesome day
 
Hey slays utah on a daily basis from what i hear. I though he was going to film with PBP this year. but that might now be correct.
 
At first I thought it wasn't that big... then it looks ridiculous from the side. They have to be 50 feet high too. They carried some of those hits super deep! except for TJ...

Could just be me or the angle but that landing looks steep for the jump.... not much room for speed error?
 
Im so pissed! im supposed to be hitting that jump right now!

Story: My dad was the head race coach at CB this year, but i couldnt go and live with him because i had to stay and live with my mom (they're still together). So, over my spring break (past 2 weeks) i spent the first week out with him in CB and then to USASA nationals. He was then going to come and have me stay with him until this jump was built and he said that he would have been able to pull some strings and I would have been able to hit it. But, when my mom ordered plane tickets, she made mine so that i came back right after nationals because she said i couldnt miss this week of school to hit one single jump. God I wish i was there.
 
is your father kevin? and i do doubt that any liability waiver ever made would have let you hit this jump..
 
hahahaha...judging by the profile pic, you would literally die. That jump is just a bit out of your league, and in no world could your dad have pulled enough strings for you to hit it.
