So on the last day of school before Christmas break only a weak after Sandy Hook the high schools of my hometown Medicine Hat Alberta Canada were put into lock down or closed completely because some asshole in my grad class made threats on Facebook. and just 30 minutes up the road there was a school shooting that happened a week after the Columbine shootings.

My point is that A)Kids are dumb, making threats on Facebook isn't going to get attention it's going to land you in jail. B) Canada has just as many gun control issues as the states
 
A kid at my school made a joke about how we should ban cars since one could drive into a school and kill people.

The school took it as a threat and suspended him for 10 days.
 
Someone jokingly said they were gonna blow up the school if someone did something, so no one came to school on that day
 
That has nothing to do with school shootings because kids in school are not old enough to own guns anyways. it's usually a family members gun or a stolen weapon and that wasn't the point. Oh and thanks for being a fucking douchebag about it.

Like I mentioned in another thread... at a friend's school people used to call in fake bomb threats near weekly. It was the way of choice for getting out of exams. Happened at my and most other schools occasionally too.

But threats don't really count as school violence as far as I'm concerned, I've nevered heard of them being followed through.
 
Some dipshit at my towns highschool wrote "Im seriosly about to Sandy Hook the school right now" on the bathroom wall a week after the shootings. The school went into lockdown and there were cops with AR-15's walking around the halls, all because some retard who was probably making an extremely sick joke. Fuck kids.
