Martock Open

just got an email from andy saying there will be atleast one box somewhere on the hill... and expressway of course.
 
wow rain sucks. the hill closed today at 4 cause of the badness of it all. but i guess we're supposed to start teaching soon, lessons starting tomorrow hopefully...
 
The 1 run was great actually. Really good coverage, the hill was practically empty because of the rain.

any jibs set up at all?

crabbe has 5 with only one real run open, i guess they look out for the freestyle community up there! at least wentworth will open saturday, rest assure that we will have features.

 
fairly icy today, and only the small volcano box set up, and the super small box that can't be classified as a jib. when are they getting a rail set up??
 
we put a rail in yesterday, mellow down, wide take off, slight transition for landing.

martock's heading towards the right direction, new tricks were learned and it wasn't a whole lot of death.

i still get a real weird vibe from that place though.
 
people need to stop talking shit on martock, everybody there is like family to me. and i get from a lot of people that martock is friendly no matter who you are, and that wentworth you have to be there for 10 years before you get so much as a hello and ive noticed it to

the comments are given to push martock and express that we (freeskiers) want features there early on. your taken it to heart too much. i am glad like people like u r there because your important to that scene and making it the best it can be. keep an open mind and us updated on how it is up there. :)
 
Yeah, my ten year anniversary at WW is coming up in a few seasons.....hopefully I won't ski by myself any more after that.....

But like JJ said, it's good to have people there pushing the scene, as long as they understand that for the past couple of years they, as in Martock, have driven out some pretty core riders who were trying to progress the scene...keep positive though, it'd be sick if a good core culture could develop there between park kids and staff....

haha of course people are going to talk shit on martock, it only has 4 real, honest runs.

but it's mount martock of nova scotia, and you have to love it for being one of the only places we can go to slide around on sticks near here. if you really love snow you shouldn't care where you're playing in it :)

skied martock today with harlon, had a blast!

small but fun features, 4 in fact. good shit, keep it Martock!!

 
^ I agree, it's definatly fun to have some stuff set up, and it's good to see martock is finally making a legit effort towards freestyle skiing/snowboarding. keep it up
