Martin Misof wins Freestyle.ch

The freeskiers had the honor to open the final day and showed once again their best tricks. Jon Olsson (SWE), Martin Misof (AUT) und Charles Gagnier (CAN) jumped in to the superfinals. With a perfectly landed switch 1080 Misof got himself the title «freestyle.champ» and sent Olsson, who showed a Switch Misty 1080, off to the second place and Gagnier (Switch 1080) off to place three.

Nice! Let the sw 10's begin AGAIN!

I think I'm going to watch the aerials circut this year. Might be more exciting.

 
I was there and even thought lots of people threw down really hard, and the judgement wasn't the best, martin misof really stomped everything and nailed all his grabs... he should def be in the podium... Maybe if gagnier did his double grab in a cab9 instead of a cab 7... and TJ owned all saturday, but one of his skis was fucked up on sunday and he couldn't land good...
 
By the way, Hernik Harlaut (15 y.o.) stomped a sw 12 mute and everything else and didn't make it to the finals...
 
switch 10s are getting old. they've been old. everybody wants to see the grabs with the good double inverts and steezy slow spins, mad off axis. you know what im talking about

jon double lincoln loop or sth like that but without the switch landing that we know from joi..

and gagnier who was best in my opinion did a sw 7 with a true nose and true tail grab..^^
 
There was a lot of sw10 that's true but the comp was really good! Lots of double flips and new grabs and all the riders showed their style throwing rotation under 720 to get into the finals. They just killed that jump.
 
But yeah Tj and Dumont should have gone into the finals with Jon and one of this three should have won instead that Gagnier Misof and Richard Permin were really sick.
 
^ i think it was sarcasm. i posted in the wrong thread earlier... i thought misof's 10 was nasty looking too, spun the first 3 about 5 feet from the lip. ill see if this video stream link has more jumps than skipass
 
well, no... jon and wetsre puuled out the double inverts and charles the new grab deal... it's the judges fault that they reward switch tens like they do...
 
yeah, misof did sw 10 tweaked mutes that you would be admiring is it was a sw 5. I also hate big air comps becoming cab10's fest, but you gotta be realistic sometimes...
 
6 jumps are not the whole comp... In Qualifyers for instance, you had both a mandatory style jump (no spining more than 540) and a technical jump, which was great. Having been there the 2 days, my souvenir is clearly not one of a sw 10 comp, but maybe it was :)

Jesus, double inverts should be given more credit, those are insane. Also, I have no beef with the guy that won, but seriously, when does a switch 10 beat a switch MISTY 10?
 
Of course, he is the smooth master. He makes his tricks look so easy that I think judges dismiss the extreme amount of skill he has.

that contest was the sickest acrobatic skiing contest i had to see in my entire life!

well if everyone would of think since day 1st instead of go to a new sort of acrobatic,i think no one would of make fun of us skiers by now...

wow i just saw the video, that was pretty dumb. Gagnier and Olsson both through down way more inoovative and technical tricks but were beat out by a switch 10(not even corked). Thats REALLY ANTI PROGRESSION.

one of the judges was, pascal chanson,swiss mogul skier

and the second one was,nicolas cuirricci an italian mogul skier...

the rest of the dudes was just normal persons.

 
I'm with lil trap niggas. Me-Soft is worthless, switch 1440's with no style. the kid is an upright aerialist claiming ass goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon. lil-trap might know more than you think, sillies.
