Marriage, why?

Does marriage really make sense?

I understand some crucial points that make marriage very vaild within society. The whole idea that we are not alone and have someone to depend on is always nice.

But as a human race, are we supposed to be monogamists?

fuckin' damn hell yes it works for me. my girl is the bomb and all who know her know eaxclty what i'm saying.

before i log out one more thing: ppl say you know when you know and that is exactly what happened for me. as far as being monog i'd say that that is up to the individual/couple. in my case i realized that after getting my fair share of hookuops i wanted more and wqnted to really build something with someone. interestingly enough as soon as i started to feel this way the right person came along and everyhting worked out.

if it happens to you you'll know it. good luck with that shit.

Marriage works for legal reasons.

My Uncle dosnt beleive in Mariage but he got maried October 2003 at the age of 40. he has 3 kids with my Aunt and has been going out with her since he was 17 or 18 (Highschool sweethart)

He doesnt beleive in mariage but got maried because if anything happens to him or his wife the kids are protected and will inherit. and when youve been going out with someone for 20 something years and living together for more than 15 years you know wether or not your going to stay together forever.

divorce rate is the way it is because ppl feel they have to or 'should' get married because they are programmed sheeple mostly. just my opinion. doing it because it's natuiral to link you lives together and there would be no divorce rate for the most part which is exactly why gay and lesbians getting hooked up and married is a wonderful ting and shoudl be supported.

we need more love; less killing and hate. and that goes for hating gays or lesbians. let ppl love eachother already geez.

Just thinking about it logically, you can easily argue both sides.

I am just wondering why so many people these days get married, when they don't really mean the words they say.

'For better or worse, till death do us part'

It is a joke to more than 50% of the couples out there.

No commitment anymore, everyone wants out.

Depends on how serious you are about it. For instance, J Lo is a joke and makes marriage look like a game. 50% of couples today do get divorced and unfortunately I am experiencing a very messy, horrible one right now between my parents. If you think you'll ever divorce someone you consider marrying, spare yourself and your children the trouble and don't even bother. Marriage is someting sacred no one takes seriously anymore.

Stewie: Well, I'd love to stay and chat, but you're a total bitch.

It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care.

it's only for the religious people so they can have sex and not feel guilty

do the chickens have large talons?
what?
large talons.
i didn't understand a word you just said.

Vantonloc- I dont see how you saying gay and lesbians should get married. I mean I agree they should be allowed to marry but why are you saying that they would have any lower divorce rates than hetrosexuals....That point made absolutley no sense, you have no facts or anything to back that up.

and take ur good luck and shove it up your ass.

I like to let myself getting carried away,
if that's a problem, I'll try another way
to get in this awfully full parkingway
I can't see the end of the street
Give me a joint, and I might be
here or there, right or left wing
I don't care, just give it to me.
