is the mounting patern the same for the marker jester and the marker griffon schizofranic binding. i know the jester and griffon have the same mounting patern, but i dont know about the SCHIZOFRANTIC

The schizofrantic's only fit certain skis i belive.. like extremes and kung fujas. If you try and fit them to others the the screw retention would be terrible unelss you really do it well. Basically the ski is built with the holes ready drilled into a tiny metal base plate on the ski, thats why the new season kung fujas and extremes are set up with the schizofrantic's

False. They mount like any other normal binding. I just mounted a pair on some Chronic's the other day.

take it all back, Here in the UK I was told they only fitted Extremes and Kung Fujas because of the screws. But then again i'm English...

You are correct in a sense. Yes, the Kung Fujas have the predrilled holes for them, but they are not exclusive to them.

You probably are under that impression since Marker and K2 pair up for that stuff.

K2's factory lineup comes with the schizo baseplate I believe, so they suggest that you mate these skis and bindings. They are owned under the same parent company, so they are marketing it as a package. But you can absolutely mount schizos on other brands. How could marker market them if not?

And the mounting pattern is probably about the same width, but longer, because the baseplate has to be 6 cm longer than your bootsole length.
