Marker Jester or Salomon STH 16??

Why do you guys like the STH16 better?

I have only rode the Jester and I was wondering if you guys had maybe skied both and what you liked about them both.
 
idk if anyone else has thought like this, but i personally think salomon skis should go with salomon bindings. haha gay i no, but ive always thought that!

The sth16 are supposta be dope tho ive never personally rode them, ive heard good things.
 
Usually I would agree with this but given the fact that he is comparing one high quality binding to another i think its safe to assume that he is a fairly aggressive skier and/or heavy enough for a high din, reliable binding.
 
doing the same combo. rode sth 16s last year on both pairs of skis, and they're and awesome binding. plus if anything goes wrong in the next 5 years, salomon will send you a free pair. pretty much no questions asked.
 
get both and then mount one ski with jesters and one ski with sth's. ride them like that for a week and decide which binding you like better. then send me the one you didn't like. as cost for me giving you this great advice.
 
other than the FKS, the STH 16 is the best binding ever. I actually like it a little more.

But if you're 120 pounds and keep your din on 6 you don't need it. get the 12 or 14.
 
The STH 16 has a lower underboot height and more metal than the Jester, and an adjustable toe piece height for when your boot soles get really worn. The heel mounting pattern is super wide, I don't think I've ever heard of one ripping out.

While they don't have the elasticity of the FKS in the heel, STH 16s are my favorite binders right now. All the other STH models are plasticy trash though, so if you don't need a 9-16 binder, get a low grade FKS or PX12s or PX14s.
 
Man you guys really like the sth 16.

I rode griffons last year, upgrading to jesters this year and i loved my griffons. never pre-released and I love the toe piece on it. (upgrading because of weight and i didnt ski very hard last year).

Never been on the sth 16. but the heel piece on them seems so wimpy.
