Marker Griffons Or Fks 140s

It's a tough decision. I've heard some negatives about both. Personally I'd go with the Fks. They're said to be a lot more durable.

I have skied both bindings, they are both good. I have not had problems with the durability of either binding. i've had few pre-releases on griffons, none with fks. FKS feels stronger and better so I would say that it is better.

If you can get both at about the same price definitely choose fks.

I have the fks 140s and the only problem I have is when you fall the heel peice swivels so you have to twist them back. Also you have to mount them perfectly

100% fks. some people can get lucky with griffons and not have any problems but I broke my heel piece twice in 3 weeks. so I picked up some pivot 14s and it was completely worth it. Ive noticed that the griffons have an awful feel when ur clicked in, they just have lots a free movement in them but the pivots/fks feel way more solid.

Honestly I've only ever used fks/pivot with a low din (not mine) so I feel like the griffons are better

I use both bindings. I started out with Griffons 3 ish years when they first revamped them. And in the 3 years I have had no real issues. Maybe just a micro amount of play in one of the heel pieces but only when you really grab it and try to wiggle it around. As for fks the seem pretty bomb proof thus far but I'm rocking 155's which have the metal toe piece so I can't speak for the plastic toes. My only gripe with them is the expensive brakes and when the dildo piece swivels around in a crash so you have to put it back in place. Overall both great bindings unless you are a big bugger who likes to huck big features then a griffon should be ample if you don't feel comfortable there than step up to jesters.

That's not a problem that is how the binding is made and what it is supposed to do. And it takes 0.2 seconds to turn them back. What do you mean by you have to mount them perfectly? Anyway op go fks

Because its only minor ajustments if you mount it to the ski to far back or forward your screwed

I personally have used marker griffons and have loved them. i think they are super solid and have never given me any issues, released me when needed.

but i just got a pair of pivot/fks 14s and look forward to trying them out, just need a pair of skis to put them on.

You would have to miss mount them like a full cm. Mounting isnt hard, if you can't do it right don't do it, Besides if youre really that far off (you would have to be like a least a cm off) just remount them.
