Marker Griffon

Hey... I just bought my new skis. Line anthem of this year.

I just wanted to know if Marker Griffon are cheap bindings or if they are good. Cauz I dont want them to break after only 1-2 seasons or to begin to unfix everytime I land a jump.

I am 5''10 and 130 lbs (58.5 kg)

So just tell me if I will have problems with these bindings after 1-2 seasons... Thanks!

^completely untrue. the griffon is a quality binding and idk why people are saying its "overpriced plastic." isnt every binding made of plastic, or at least contain mostly plastic? it should definitely last several seasons without a problem

I love my Griffons so far they've been perfect.

I havent had to pay any atttention to them. just the way i like it

they will be fine for you, i weigh about the same and i haven't had any problems with them at all, release only when your really need too, but unnecessary poppin.

the only thing im not sure about is if your wieght beacuse you might want marker jesters if your still growing beacuse they are for heavier people and have ahighte din so you decide or get help from people who actually know oh and jesters and griffons are the same except for din range wieght range binder weight and colors

griffons are incredibly realiable. I would strongly recommend them, and they are a light binding too (weight wise)

Because it is:

1) Overpriced ($200 for a 12 DIN is nuts)

2) Plastic

Spend half the money and get an FKS 120. It will hold up for years.

You can get em for $150, which isn't too pricey at all for plastic.I would still be smarter to spend$180 on some FKS 155's, those things are bombproof

so your says they the only things that are the same are that they are made by marker and they use the same technology. kinda ironic that you say the jester and griffon are the same except for factors 1 through 4. thats alot of differences

Besides DIN, the MAIN differencr between Jesters and Griffons is the Jesters had metal toe wings and heel towers. The Griffons don't. So the Jesters= more burly, a little heavier (like 1.5 ounce on each foot, whoop-de-doo) and more durable.

im getting some 09 anthems tommorow for 250, they have griffons there at half price for 147.00 should i get those too ? i would imagine i'll receive free mounting if i do

If you don't need a higher DIN binding, go for it. $400 is a good price for that entire setup

Griffons KILL! Probably the best binding out there. Besides the Jester, but they're basically the same. Good solid feel, I know I have popped all the way in, easy to pop into, only release when you need them to.
