Marker Griffon Schizo?

Hey guys im thinking about ordering a pair of Marker Griffon Schizo bindings for my new Fischer addicts. What are your guys opinion on these binding? worth it or not?

It really depends how you plan on using your skis. The addicts aren't very wide so I'm going to guess that your planning on using them for groomers and park. If this is the case, i would skip the schizos, just unnecessary weight and moving parts. Now if you are planning on using them for park and pow and everything else, then yes they might be worth it for you. But in general, the addict isn't something I would imagine needing schizo bindings.

Take it for what its worth, I have not ridden addicts or schizo, this is based solely on cost vs utility

never ridden them myself. jsut looked at them in my shop, one of the other guys has them and he really likes them. they have quite a bit of plastic on them soo their durablity might not be great. but the whole sliding back adn forth seems great for mid fat skis. my friend is gettitn them mounted on bents that will be an amazing ski for shits and gigs.

Ya im planning to use them for the park and pow. Just having a hard time deciding what to put on them. Thanks for the input btw :)

Hahaha sounds like your friend will be having some fun riding those :) I thought they had quite abit of plastic on them which kinda bothers me : /

yeah the track has alot of plastic and the black peice under your boot is all plastic. if it was all metal it would be way to heavy. im working tommorow i can take a closer look at see what parts are plastic. im getting griffons on my park skis such a sick binding

Being that the Addict is a symmetrical ski, you don't want to mount the Schizo at the normal mounting point- no point being +3cm ahead of dead center. If you are going to put Schizos on it, I would have the shop mount the Schizo so at it's furthest most point your boot's midsole will be at dead center on the ski. That way you have 6cm of rearward movement and more options for softer snow conditions. Also, when going back to dead center you know where it is because you've bottomed out.

imo i would never put the schizo system on a symmetrical pure park ski. it would add unnecessary weight, interfere with the flex and just be pointless. the ski was made to be mounted at dead center and no where else. So putting the schizo on them is going to be a bad idea. Why not save a hundred bucks and just mount them with griffons at dead center??

I was thinking the same thing about the mounting point, if i decide to go with the MGS bindings. Based on what alot of people think i might go with a different binding so... but we will see :)

basicly the only parts that arent plastic are the toe wigns and the heel support, so basicly the same as the griffon but with a plastic track.

if you are intrested in some Schizos i have BRAND NEW IN BOX schizos for sale
