Marker Griffon bindings for 200lb park skier?

Im looking into a pair of marker griffon bindings barely used, has all bolts and everything included for a nice cheap price. However the din setting is only from 4-12. I am 6'0 200lbs and a beginning park skier but just about advanced/expert on the actual all mountain. Will these hold up well enough for me? They are the 90mm brakes and i will be mounting them on k2 recoils.

You should be able to get away with it. Last time I weighed myself was 195 which was earlier this season. I use Rossignol Axial 2 binding, a 12 din that I have set to 10. Haven't had a problem with the din or the binding since cranking it up.

I ride with axail2s, they are honestly the best low din binding i've ever used, i've actually had less problems with prerelease on the axail2s than i have with the jesters

For a heavier skier like you, I would only reccommend Salomon or Atomic bindings (they're the same, just different colors) if they have the driver toepiece. Look up salomon sth 14 driver, and salomon sth 14 oversize, and you'll see the difference in toepiece. Heavier/more aggressive skiers are known to break the non-driver toe (oversize or z toe) pretty regularly, and they're not as consistant for heavier skiers. If you're a beginning park skier, you could actually probably get away with an sth 12 driver, but I would definitely only stay within the realm of driver toes. Also look on the sell/trade forums for a rossignol fks 155. It's an extremely solid all metal turnable pivot-style binding, which are known to be the safest/most reliable bindings on the market, with a reasonable din (6-15), but you can usually get them for around $150 because rossi stopped making the 155 back around 2007 or so. Still the most reliable binding housing on the market, it's the exact same binding as the fks 180 which you see lots of people rocking and raving about, but with a spring that's more suitable for everyday use, as it doesn't start at 8. Hope this helps.
Sparknotes: Dont get salomon or atomic unless driver toe, check out used fks 155s

Griffins are fine. they go up to 13 for this year so you could ride 11. I weigh 200 and have Jester pros and griffins, I ride my JP's at 13 and Griffins at 11 and I did come out of my JP's once, but never on my griffins and I have dropped Corbett's, countless 15'+ ledges and 40ft kickers with them.

Don't get aboard the Marker Hate Train most people don't have issues and the number one issue binding I see at the shop I work at is with Salomon bindings. If you have an issue with Markers ripping out it's because you're shop doesn't know how to mount them, you can't tighten them past 17nm with a drill or else the screw strips the core, but you have to have the heel plate flush with the ski, no gap, or else those screws will pull out. If you have someone who knows what they are doing mount them you'll be good. I've had Rossi Axial 2's too and the springs in the heel piece wear out so it becomes hard to click in and out, that's a pretty common issue and Rossi/Look does a lot of warranty work fot that issue

Just to clarify, i am 6 foot 2 and weigh 210 lbs and i skiied 169 k2 extremes center mounted with griffons and they have held up fine over the last 2 years. I do think he shouldnt get them though. Also, i am getting 181 ar7's and im probably going to get STH driver 12's. Do you think thats good? I can get them new for a good price

Holy snowblades batman... that's a pretty small ski at your size, no disrespect.

I hover around 190 and tend to throw my weight around... after destroying 3 pairs of Jesters I went to FKS and never looked back. At your size, if you're planning on going fairly big or trying anything more than about a 360 I'd look for a binding with a bit more metal in it. Axial2 if you have to stay 12 DIN, but an FKS155 is pretty much perfect for you.

This is relevant to my interests.

I'm 5'8" at just about 200 lbs and I'll be on some 178 Line Chronics next year. I was going to go with Griffons but now I'm between Griffons and FKS 140's. I don't plan on throwing shit too huge, but I want some good bindings to get a few seasons out of.

Halp.
