Marker giffon???????????????

so i've been reading that that griffons are made with more plastic then the jesters and that their not as solid because of that. Has anyone actually used them though, i don't know anything about them since theyre brand new??? Im only about 140 lbs is that solid?

They are a lighter version of the jesters. Lighter in this case means a little more plastic. Plus its a 12 din. Its a good binding, but there are others out there. Look/ROSSI PX/FKS, STH12s, or an older Pivot binding.

you should be fine man. SirFrancisBape Is doing the same thing with his bacons and I think he's around your size.

i think they are legit, if either you a smaller dude, or you dont ski real real hard. ive seen a few pairs blow up. but ive also seen other pairs hold up real well. it is definitly a killer design. and i would suggest the jester for sure. and the griffon if you are smaller. not cause of the din but because of the abuse that the binding gets

yeah dude, if your worried about durability you could just go for another 12 din binding like look, rossis or salomon bindings (all solid options). my p10's and my px jibs have held up great even though i weigh about 190lbs.

In theory they will be fine because:

If you like the Jesters but don't need a 16 DIN chances are you won't need a more burly binding because you will be less prone to break it anyway, that is probably why they made the Griffon a less burly binding.

I remember last year everyone was so unsure about Jesters and it was a big deal because they were plastic and whatnot, but plastic is actually really strong, especially in the case of Jesters. I'm glad I just went ahead and bought them, now everybody with a fat ski wants them, and even on park skis too.

I am sure they would be great bindings but I just don't see the justification of the price, when you can get other 12 din bindings for much less that are still great bindings.

Oh ya, I just checked prices and they are pretty expensive for a 12 din.

Hmmm, I never really factor price into ski gear but if you don't have a lot of money then I'd go with a different binding, unless you can get it cheaper.

220 for griffons, and 140-160ish for px12's is not much of a diference, and i would much rather have griffons then px12's ive broken like 4 pairs of px12's

griffons are 150 g lighter than the dukes and din goes to 12. It is lighter because they used sone nylon composite. I say for 150 g why not just go for the real thing. the dukes rock hands down so why chance it.

Its funny how everyone is like "oh ive seen those blow up" or "ive broken 3 pairs of those" ya right haha your lying unless i get to see some pics. griffons will hold up fine all bindings are plastic and their not just going to break you really gotta beat the hell outa em

i love my jesters, this is just a mellower version. you're light so unless you hit freeway all day you dont need the jesters. i'd say try them. since they're new the worst thing that happens is they blow up and u get a free pair.
