Marker Free 12.0 vs Look PX 12s

Okay I currently have Marker free 12.0s mounted on my Anthems and they just seem sooo heavy and they seem like I just cant flex my tails or tips as much as I should be able to. So I have been looking at some PX 12 jibs and was wondering what the difference would be in the binding weight and just if they would be a overall better binding (which I am sure they would be but I just want some positive feedback)

So I guess what I am asking is how much better would PX12s be than Marker free 12.0s in terms of weight and how much they would allow my ski to flex.

And also if I mounted them would the drilling patterns interfer with the Marker drill patterns?

I hope all my questions made sense so thanks and +k for your help

Oh and if you have any PX 12s to sell for cheap shoot me a PM.

all the traditional marker bindings SUCK HARD for any kinda park riding. as you said, they are heavy as hell, have zero elasticity, a large footprint, and are way too complicated to be reliable.

get red of those ASAP.

as for replacing them, the PXs are OK, the jibs and all the other cheaper PXs/axial 2s are realy heavy, and the only real benifit of them over your markers is the release. they have a better hold and more elasticity, but they still have a LARGE footprint, tab/track heel, and wont be that durable. the higer end ones with the aluminum construction (where the spring body hinges off the plate) are definitely better, and worth the extra $

salomon STHs and marker jesters are 2 other good clamps, but neither has the elasticity of the rossis.

what i would really reccomend, however, is jumping on ebay, and finding a pair of Look Pivot binders or first gen Axials. they are dirt cheap nowadays, are bombproof, have the elastisicty in the release (nothing has a smoother more consistant release than pivots), and a tight mounting pattern in the heel, which will give you a hinge point closer to your boot heel for better pop. the other option is some FKS 120s. same toe as the pivots, but with the race heel. the pivots are much easier to own, and require alot less maintnence, and in my expierence are more durable. the FKS heel has more forward pressure and a more direct connection than the pivots (they ski a lil better), but the release is not nearly as smooth.

heres a pair of rossis. same thing.

all these would be great, but any of the ones mounted on plates, you should remove the lifters, and have the shop mount with shorter screws/grind them down. if they wont, they are lazy, and a 6 pack should do the trick.

but for real, these are 100X better than the new look/rossis. they switched cause they can be built into system skis, (they are pretty good like that) but on a flat deck setup, they use the same mounting plate as the Novas/Axiums and they break super easy. they also have like a 8 inch mounting pattern (DEAD SPOT).

CTD im really impressed with your knowledge of bindings bro ! can you retype those hyperlinks though they go off the page and for some reason i can't cut and past or, or if you could just post the ebay item #'s that would be dank.
