hey i am buying line anthems. i need a pair of bc skis that i can take hiking with AT bindings. but i was wondering if the duke would hold up for a anthem where i tend to be hard on eqipment would the duke hold up in the park and pipe and still hike well. i only have enough money for one setup

i wouldn't advocate the use of anthems for trekking. if you must have a ski to do everything with and still use the duke, i'd go with something like the prophet 100, sfb... even the blend would be a better choice than the anthem.

but to answer your question, yes the duke will hold up to you. If it has taken a season of beating form pros like pep, andy, ect, itll be fine for you.

short answer, yes and no. they are the same toe and heel piece as the jester and are burly. they still are at bindings. if it's for an everyday ski, i wouldn't do it. but if you are going to skin/bc them 90% of the time then yes.

Like said above the Duke is a great choice if you are doing a lot of sidecountry/BC skiing. However I would not suggest the Anthem with the Dukes as a sidecountry ski. However, like mentioned above the Blend and Prophet 100's are both great choices for use in the BC with the Duke. The Duke is a burly binding and one that I would recommend. I have not been a fan of Marker for years, but the 5 years of technology put into this binding really shows and I have full confidence in this binding. Read the review from a guy that has over 100 days on the Duke already.

The only question you should be asking your self about the DUKE is:

SHOULD I BUY THIS TODAY OR TOMORROW?

or

SHOULD I SELL MY CAR TO AFFORD A PAIR OF DUKES?

they answer is probably YES!

Yeah, I have seen the dukes in person and they do feel burly. There is alot of metal in there and no slop. If you have been on freerides, you know that the metal makes a huge difference.
