Marker Duke (EPF or not) vs. Black Diamond Diamir Fritschi Pro

Need good BC/hiking bindings. Pretty much narrowed it down to the Dukes and Fritschis. They would be mounted on Surface Lab 001s. So I they are pretty wide skis. Would I need wider bindings like the Duke EPF or would the older Dukes or fritschis work well? Any other good binding suggestions?10/10 +K for help!

HOw will you be using these? What percentage in bounds, what percentage out of bounds. How much do you weigh, what do you like to ski? how important is performance on the way down vs ease on the way up.

Long story short Dukes and Saloman Guardians are the go to for skis that you will ski in bounds as well, want to huck cliffs etc. but do not care as much about the uphill.

Fritschi's are great as well, but not as burly. If your not hucking huge cliffs or skiing hard on them inbounds they will work fine (I have Fritschi's but I don't use them in resort)

THe best fo the way up is something like a Dynafit, you need to buy specific boots though so its costly.

I'm 6'4 185lbs. I don't do huge cliffs ans I will be like 60% in bounds and 40% BC. I love to butter and play around in pow. Performance on the way up is important to me but let's be honest, I hike up to ski down. I want a solid binding but would like it to climb well. Could the fritschis handle resort? I'm a fairly aggressive skier but its not like I fly around the mountain at high speeds. They would need to be able to handle 20 ft (at most) jumps. I'm not very hard on equipment.

Go with the Duke EPF. I just got a pair and in my mind they are the best do it all touring binding on the market, and are a nice improvement over the regular dukes...Honestly if you get a pair of Fritschi's I feel like you would be disappointed. They just are not a performance binding like the duke and the weight and price compared to the Dukes is basically the same. Go for the EPF's you will not regret it! Although, I would recommend mounting them on a different ski. While the LAB's are awesome and fun as hell I don't think they would be great to tour on

Sounds like you're better off on the Duke EPF. It's a solid binding that you can charge on both in bounds and out of bounds.
