I have some basically brand new Marker Comp 12 bindings that I used briefly on my race skis last year. Can i use them on my freestyle skis? Anyone used marker comp bindings for park riding? Thanks!
i wouldnt, i have comp 12s on a pair of racing skis and IMO they suck, pop off trying to do 3s on DIN 10, i weigh like 75kgs, get a freestyle oriented binding, unless u run your din on around 8 normally, that is my advice
I've tried. They are HORRIBLE. You will eat shit so much trying to land swtich tricks. If you're buying a marker binding for freestyle skiing, at least get a griffon. I love mine.
The Marker Comps aren't much good for anything more than just laying down turns on groomers. They have very little elastic travel in the toe so they come off very, very quickly if you hook an edge or something. Not much good for dishing spins that you don't quite get around. But the worst thing about them is the elastic travel in the heel. There virtually isn't any. Landings on them have to be super flush or the heel just chucks you out. Switch landings are virtually impossible and as soon as you eject the brake will explode into 400 pieces. You can compensate for this a little by running heaps of DIN and forward pressure but this makes them release like a bag of shit and will probably ruin your knees and cause your house to catch fire.
