Marker Bindings

I'm 90% sure they are different. We have two mounting jigs at work for markers, one for jesters/griffons etc, and one for the barons and dukes. I can look on saturday and make sure if no one else has confirmed by then.

different...

only between identical designs they have the same holes (ie. griffon and jester or Duke and baron)

and i've also heard about a new duke/baron coming out with a wider screw pattern (not really sure about this fact) so beware!

I think the new pattern which is wider is only for the duke, so next year at sia marker will be saying that they have a "brand new" mounting pattern for the baron which is the same as the duke.

not 100% positive it is only for the duke but that is what I have heard.

The current Royal Family Bindings; Duke, Baron, F12, F10, Schizo, Jester, Jester Pro, Griffon and Squire all use the same jig. The Duke, Baron, F12, F10 and Schizo use 9 screws there is an extra screw(hole) in between the toe and heel piece. The Jester, Jester Pro, Griffon and Squire use 8 Screws.

If your are going from one of the bindings with 9 screws to 8 screws the hole in the middle just needs to be plugged.

Same pattern for toe and heel piece in all royal family bindings. The Duke, Baron, F12, F10, and Schizo just use one extra screw/hole in the middle, in between the toe and heel piece.

The Marker M11 binding has a terrible mounting pattern and will probably fall off your ski. It seems that they strategically placed the screws in order to maximize loosening/tear-out potential. Oh wait... You weren't asking about that binding. I just get really angry when I read the word marker and can't stop myself from ranting.

I doubt the Duke has the same mounting pattern as the M11 though.

I know this is mad old thread, but I can confirm that Schizos and the tour bindings (Baron, Duke, F10, F12) do NOT have the same mounting, and yes this is for the older narrow baseplate for AT bindings. I have a template for an AT binding and a set of Schizos in front of me and the schizos have a longer hole pattern for the toe and heel (width is roughly the same).
