Marker Bindings?

Are they good?? I can get a real good deal on some top end Markers with DIN up to 12. Would they be good on my Line Skogens, good for freeride and jumping and everything?? The guy reckons they're pretty wicked but he's a salesman, you guys are the real pros, what do you reckon??

i think bindings are over rated..if thier light and thier din goes high enough..than thats all that matters.. if they meet that criteria..and you getting a deal..go for it!

no, bindings are more important than u think. just because a din goes up to 12 doesnt mean they will keep u in well at all. i had a pair of markers on airstyles and one time i remember i landed backseat off a rail and both of my skis popped off.. the din was at 8. this past winter, i got candides with look p10's. with the din at 8, my skis only came off when they should have. if u want some advice, spend ur money on rossi/look. markers are notorious for prereleasing. if u wanna hear people rant about markers, go to the powdermag.com forum.

Marker bindings suck

Bindings ARE important. They are the only thing holding your skis on your feet while your flying through the air.

markers are the worst bindings ever made, the pre release like hell, and the break super super easily, get look or rossi.

I have those bindings and they are not very good, I only got them because I got a deal on them like you are. They heavier than comparable models from other companies and for some reason they are always popping off when I land a jump even though I have the DIN cranked up way past were it should be for me. I really suggest looking into another pair!

haha yea nice choice they arent the best bindings in the world, get some looks or rossignols i have both now and love them. i also really liked the salomon s900s but everyone else seems tothink they are shit maybe i just got a good pair.

 
Sweet as, thanks heaps guys, I got the Look Pivot Max 12 or something, DIN goes up to 12, they look pretty dope and they're blue and silver, nice nice, I like 'em, got some dope silver atomic boots too so I'm pretty stoked with it all yay!

I am not a fan of the marker bindings, they break a little bit too easy. I would highly suggest the look or rossignol axial. Personally, I am waiting for the new line bindings. They are supposed to be amazing.

smooth ride. I was just looking at a bunch of markers on ebay- they're pretty inexpensive, and now I guess I know why. I've got the blue atomic zone boots too, they're so smooth. hey, would anyone mind, if they've got a few minutes, looking on ebay and telling me what's a good deal? I don't know much about bindings, but they're going on 02 darksides, and I weigh 180lbs. I've looked a couple times, but I don't really know what I'm looking at. thanks!

grehtnorth- I don't really see any good deals on skis on ebay right now, unless you want some lines but you didn't sound too interested in lines because of your size. I'm the same way, all the lines are too short and soft for me liking!

Yeah, I weigh about the same as you and the Looks are going to be awesome for me aye, have a look at the Look Pivot, it's a damn sexy binding and has all the cool gizmos that save your knees and crap. well so it says in the book. It's all good though aye.

marker makes a really good freeride binding, im not sure whats its called but it has these 'air pads' in it...they actually work a little

i saw them once or twice theyre like black and white..and theyyre good according to the guy but i bought 6.2's instead of that cuz i didnt have the extra 80 dollars
