hey i just got my line invaders and i love them but i also got these marker ti12 piston control bindings> i had look bindings before and i have never had marker's... are they any good?

Avoid those bindings like the plague. Only good if you're the type of skier who goes out on the weekends to carve for 6 hours.

those markers are trash. the only markers i will trust are comp14s and up. jesters are good for fat skis but are not made for park riding. griffons are shit.

marker m12s are one of the worst bindings if your gonna ski park they fall apart way to easily

Where the fuck do you get an idea like that? Griffons aren't shit. I doubt you have ever skied wither of those bindings, you're just listening to all the other people who haven't skied them and like to think they're shit. I have Griffons on my Hellbents and they have stood up to hucking 30ft. cliffs, hitting large pillow lines, and 180 10 ft. drops. I'd say Griffons are pretty durable. They are excellent because I do not need a 16 DIN binding at 120 lbs. and they are light bindings. Jesters aren't built specifically for fat skis. Here's what the Marker website says about the Jesters: "For the high-performance minded freeskier who wants a light weight,

secure binding for the ultimate combination of pipe, park, or

lift-served big-mountain skiing performance." Don't make ignorant posts. /rant.

i have witneced griffons breaking 3 times. and right from the marker rep "the jester wasnt designed for surious park riding". and who gives a fuck about light bindings. OMG they are a 1/16th a pound lighter then binding X, im gonna get them even tho they are more expensive and wont hold up as well due to all the plastic!

Ok whats serious park riding then? Seeing almost every K2, LINE and Volkl Team ALL ride on Jesters, do you think that none of them ride park seriousley? Hmmm...one of the best big air skiers in the world, PK Hunder, rides on jesters, WIll Wesson, Andy Parry, Michelle Parker, Ahmet Dadali, Russ Henshaw, the list goes on. And do you think that jesters are workin? Well seeing as ive seen all of them ride them since they came out i guess they do. Just shut up when you try and talk about shit that makes no sense, honestly.

omfg anyone who says griffon or jester is shit because of their durablity is either a complete dumb fuck or is better then the majordy of pro freestyle skiers!

What have you witnessed breaking on the griffon?

And the rep who informed you that the jester isn't a park binding isn't repping his product very well. I've used every 'cool' park binding and I can tell you, my jesters are the best. This includes 2 pairs of the oh so sought after turntables. If anything, the weight matters more in the park then anywhere else. Much easier to ollie/nollie a light binding. Adds inches, and we all like adding inches...

I have a marker m14 free with wide brakes

PRO: for as far as i can tell, a burly and strong binding with din up to 14

Its heavy so its great for stomping crud

it has little trouble with clicking in place when snow is under your feet or when your struggling in deep pow to get your ski back on...

CON: Its breaks ate snow this year and torn out my heelpiece while going switch (yes i got dammaged :D )

Its heavy for carrying

its heavy for spinning on rails n stuf

it doesnt look special, i myself really like the design of the jester/duke/griffon line

those bindings will suck
i would recommend jesters but you could go for griffons if you wanted to, basically they're 110% plastic so they're not as durable, some people have problems, others don't, but i would go with the jester type bindings as opposed to the comp or free series. a lot of people ride jesters in the park and they seem good
fwiw i saw a guy drop his skis in the parking lot and his toepiece broke in half on impact...he was using griffons....

I have Dukes... pretty solid binding so far, dropped some big cliffs and toured arournd a little. Id say the newer markers are safe now. The older ones like the piston and shit scare me.
